Many people really have no idea just how Almighty, Eternal, Untiringly Empowered, Creative and Sustaining God Is. We cannot fathom the depths of His wisdom, knowledge and understanding. Love And Forgive Anyway The Bible is clear about love and forgiveness. It teaches us " Beloved let us love one another. For love comes from God, and everyone who loves knows God. He who does not practice love does not know God at all.  For God IS love."   (1 John 4:7 & 8) Regarding forgiveness, the Lord teaches we are to forgive seventy times seven, if someone sins against us and repents. (Matthew 18:21-23.) Indeed, we are to forgive each of those times. In another place we see where one servant was forgiven an enormous debt, but he refused to forgive a very small debt, and he suffered dearly for it, when he had to meet the "Ultimate Judge." (Matthew 18:23-35.)  Many pray weekly, "forgive us our sins as we forgive others their sins against us."   To be sure the word "sins" is the same as the word "trespasses" or "debts" used in older language. This is mentoring at it's best. It's disciple making. It is teaching others who are teachable. It is teaching others -- who are faithful -- to apply what is taught, and because, as I said, they are faithful and teachable, the will take the next step and teach others. Since September 11, 2001, a system was set up to protect us in our Airports. In this system, people line up to take off their shoes, remove their belts, be X Rayed, and go through a real narrow gate or path in hopes of not setting off the dreaded alarm. Why -- in the name of our Lord Jesus -- would anyone put themselves such an uncomfortable experience? The answer to this question is easy: People are afraid of Terrorists getting on their airplane, and they want to stay on the path that keeps them alive. Hey Christ Followers! Check Out Matthew 7:15-23 I am still longing for all who read this blog to get a L.I.F.E, especially when it comes to deciding whom we will follow,  and whom we will choose to lead us.  Jesus is very specific about this, in Matthew 7:15-23, where He warns us that choosing leaders is extremely important, and it is even a life or death situation. That's why He who tells us that He came to give us life and give it in full measure (John 10:10b) clearly wants you and me to win this spiritual "battle" for the good of our families, children, grandchildren, extended family and our nation ... As we approach another vital election, it is important to know that Jesus really cares who you follow, and how you choose leaders. Jesus said, "Be Careful how you judge others.  For you will indeed be judged by the same standard by which you evaluate others. I am hoping Christ Followers will follow The Constitution of The United States of America. Why? Because our Creator endowed us with certain unalienable rights.  One of our really foundational principles, found in the Constitution, is this: When making judgment calls about people, In The U.S.A, each one is "Innocent Until Proven Guilty;"  otherwise, our republic is in BIG trouble. I have to tell you some really life changing decisions were made in that place where only a few of us had any access at all. In Love, God predestined us to be adopted as His children, through Jesus Christ,  because it pleases Him, and its His will. Ephesians 1:5 It may surprise you, but God adopted you as His child, Christ-Follower, before you even knew it. He loved you before you knew it. It was what He wanted to do, this adoption of you. And it brings God pleasure. Let's unpack this a bit:  It all began when God chose to love you.  Here is something you may or may not know: God looks at everything as one great big eternal now. That is, He sees all history, prehistory and post history at the same time He is observing your journey at this moment of this hour of this day in time. As He views things this way, He saw you before you were ever born, according to Romans 8:28-29, he "foreknew you" that you would bow your knee and confess Jesus is Lord to the glory of God the Father Almighty. So, this ONE who loves you "for ordained you to be formed into the image of Christ....

Ephesians 1:1 (NIV 1984) Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, To the saints in Ephesus, the faithful in Christ Jesus: The Misunderstood Identity I doubt their is no more misunderstood identity than the one we look at today. The Apostle Paul says that we who are Christ-Followers are "Saints." And that is indeed what each of us are. Now, I realize our Catholic brother's and sisters believe that the Pope, after his subordinates work through many steps, eventually declares someone to be a Saint.  Or he can do as was done with the Patron Saint "Saint Christopher" and declare he is no longer a Saint. Billions are spent on bricks and mortar and technology and other stuff to make it modern, relevant and up to date. We regulate it and over regulate it into oblivion. Your body is the Temple of The Holy Spirit -- Paul When I think of this identity, I really have to take a step back. Why? Well, I guess I never conceived of the idea that I give the Creator of the Universe a house to live in.  The ONE who is greater than His own entire creation lives within me. My body is a Temple of God' s own Holy Spirit that also happens to "flow where it wills" and accomplishes mighty things in the Universe. At the same time, this encourages me because I am not alone anywhere I go. God's Spirit is always with me, no matter what and no matter where I may go.
