Post Holiday Blues

Great songs come from the blues, but after holiday experiences and the griefs of the past also can make us sing a sad song.  Thank God Jesus is a "Man of sorrows acquainted with grief."  Thank God He is the "Wonderful Counselor..." who ask us to cast ALL our cares upon Him because he cares for us.  By the way... He is also the counselor's counselor He paid the cost in full.  Anything got you singing the blues today?  Cast those things on to the LORD who has big shoulders, and let Him help you through your down times.  He sang the blues long before we did, and He came out on top.  As the "Wonderful Counselor" He who brought you to it will bring you through it."   Sing brothers.  Sing sisters... especially if you got the blues.

I thank God for my wife, Vicki.  I thank him for our children and our other children to whom they are married. I thank God for those special grands, Drew and Alex.  When I consider these special people in my life, I can see God has done some wonderful things indeed.  I am surprised and grateful that I have gotten to be a part of it all during these 58 years plus of living.  Believe it or not I am grateful for the new opportunities that are coming o
