A Christ Follower: The Journey

Jesus was in a garden about to face a horrible, terrible, traumatic day of nothing but pure intense pain.    What was to follow?? ANXIETY ATTACK!   Luke 22:39-44 39  Jesus went out as usual to the Mount of Olives, and his disciples followed him. 40  On reaching the place, he said to them, “Pray that you will not fall into temptation.” 41  He withdrew about a stone’s throw beyond them, knelt down and prayed, 42  “Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done.” 43  An angel from heaven appeared to him and strengthened him. 44  And being in anguish , he prayed more earnestly, and his sweat was like drops of blood falling to the ground.   There is one about which I know that can cause blood sweating:  Microscopic capillaries that hold, only one red blood cell, have to be under such intense pressure from anxiety that there is a somatic (body) response:...

Dear God,      Have mercy on us, and fill us with the knowledge of Your will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding. Give us power to carry out Your will so that we may live lives worthy of You and please You in every way.       Help us Lord: Help us to bear fruit (the fruit of the Holy Spirit) in every good work. Help us to grow in the knowledge of God and strengthen us with all power - according to Your glorious might. We pray this so that we may have great endurance and patience.        Give us Supernatural grace, Lord, and move in us   so that we will joyfully give thanks; please let this joy and thanksgiving flow up from within us because you have qualified us to share in the inheritance of Your holy people in the kingdom of light!
