Jesus Anxiety Attack Up Close And Personal
Jesus was in a garden about to face a horrible, terrible, traumatic day of nothing but pure intense pain.
What was to follow??
ANXIETY ATTACK!
Luke 22:39-44
39 Jesus went out as usual to the Mount of Olives, and his disciples followed him. 40 On reaching the place, he said to them, “Pray that you will not fall into temptation.” 41 He withdrew about a stone’s throw beyond them, knelt down and prayed, 42 “Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done.” 43 An angel from heaven appeared to him and strengthened him. 44 And being in anguish, he prayed more earnestly, and his sweat was like drops of blood falling to the ground.
There is one about which I know that can cause blood sweating: Microscopic capillaries that hold, only one red blood cell, have to be under such intense pressure from anxiety that there is a somatic (body) response: The capillary ruptures, and the blood drop mixes with sweat. It then appears the person is sweating blood. Yup! It is clear Jesus does understand when we are worrying or anxious; and contrary to those who say that worry is a sin... well... I flat out disagree.
Why? Because Jesus NEVER sinned ( 2 Corinthians 5:21), and He was clearly anxious in this garden prayer site. Jesus also took the action necessary. He did what the Apostle Paul tells us to do when we want to use our spirituality to stop our anxiety attacks. This is what I will be talking about in the near future. Stay tuned And...
Be Blessed 2day
Especially 2day.
