Centering Your Soul
David once ask of his soul, "Why are you cast down O my soul? And why are you so disquieted within me?" Then he said, "Hope in the LORD who made the heavens and the earth." There are a few things that stand out for me. Soul talk (talking to your self) does NOT make you crazy. Second: Seeking answers through your soul is good... especially when a revelation like David shared comes to your mind. Third it appears that our emotions (disquieted or otherwise) find their seat in your soul. Now I said all that to say this: If we want to overcome some of the stresses... or I should say DIS-stresses of life, we would do well to focus on what is going on in our souls. We would do well to center our selves on God (Put our hope in him) and find peace in the LORD and strength from within. David said this another way: "Be still and experience God." Yup! He is not saying "Don't just sit there... do something!" He is saying, "Don't just do...
