Facing Challenges

We can do all things through The Christ who gives us more strength than we could have ever imagine processing. We can overcome our character flaws, our weaknesses and our sins through Him. Whatever challenges we face today, He faces them with us. Even, during our most weak moments, His Holy Spirit is all around us...caring for us when, we don't think we can carry ourselves. We are never alone because He is with us always...even to the very end of the age. He will NEVER leave us or forsake us. Whatever He allows us to journey to, that is the very challenge He WILL bring us through. Thanks be to God. Blessings   On Your 2day   SoJourner

Storm Chaser.

Once Jesus was in a boat with his disciples.  They had gone a short distance out into the water, and then it happened:  The lightening began to flash! The thunder began to crash! The waves began to toss the boat like it was a fishing cork!  The water was so high that if began to slam down into the boat, and the boat was at the point of either capsizing or sinking.   Meanwhile, Jesus was in the stern of the boat sleeping soundly... sleeping like a baby. This seemed to really get to the disciples.  So they began to yell above the noise of the storm to be heard; otherwise, Jesus might not have awaken because he was really sleeping soundly.  They said, "LORD... DON'T YOU CARE WE ARE PERISHING IN THIS STORM!  Jesus woke up.  He spoke up, and he said just three words, "Peace... be still."  The lightening quit flashing.  The thunder quit crashing, the waves quit rocking the boat, and waves certainly were not going to sink the boat.  In fact, right after he spoke... we

The Spiritual Power Of Little Children

13  Then little children were brought to Him that He might put His hands on them and pray, but the disciples rebuked them. 14  But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven.”  Matthew 19:13-14      Jesus attitude toward little children was nothing like that of the Rabbi's of His time on earth.  Even His disciples seemed to believe children were not "that" important in the grand scheme of things.  Unlike Him many  churches in existence today seem to follow the way of those who had an opposing view to Jesus as well.  You can hear them say things like "they are too loud" or "children should be seen and not heard."  Needless to say, there are no children to be found in such places of worship.      At any rate,  it was unthinkable,  in that 1st century time period, for children to interrupt.  It was not socially acceptable to make them the center of attention.  And it sure was uncom

New Beginning: New Year, Month and Day.

Starting Over   This is a day of new beginnings, Time to remember and move on, Time to believe what God is bringing, Laying to rest the pain that's gone.   For by the life and death of Jesus, God's mighty Spirit, now as then, Can make for us a world of diff'rence, As faith and hope are born again.   Then let us, with the Spirit's daring, Step from the past and leave behind Our disappointment, guilt, and grieving, Seeking new paths, which we will find.   Christ is alive, and goes before us To show and share what God can do. This is a day of new beginnings; Our God is making all things new.   In faith, we'll gather 'round the table To taste and share what love can do. This is a day of new beginnings; Our God is making all things new.

WHEN HELPING YOU IS HURTING ME: Overcoming Messianic Complex

WHEN HELPING YOU IS HURTING ME. Just Thinking About Stuff.   Self care, and letting go of the past,  are  God given opportunities to be free from the brokenness and toxicity of those who, while you care about them, bring you down... causing you significant heart break and pain.  They are so wrapped up in their own journey that they have no need to wonder about where you may be in yours, and you could be so wrapped up in theirs that your objectivity is impacted.  The result is your own needs go unmet in a toxic sort of way and you just might not be doing the good for which you hope. These people show no real interest or any concern in how well your are... even though your own well being is very important to their own.  But they want what they want when they want it. Continuing to attempt to improve such people's quality of life, while hurting your own, may seem God like. Keep in mind, however, that Christ Follower's believe there was/is one Messiah... and "y

AWSOME INTIMACY WITH GOD:

I will praise YOU because I am awesomely made and You created me in wonderful ways every thing You create is marvelously made!     Yup.  We throw that word "Awesome" quite a lot.  We say it's and awesome day.  We call gifts awesome gifts, and then we even call one person awesome, as if that person is some how greater than others and someone to be held in awe.   But the Creator God did somethings truly awesome just to make you "tick."  And this little ole blog cannot contain the marvels that make up the human body:  The billions of cells that change daily and interact in concert just to make us walk on planet Earth. The systems that are clearly designed to keep us alive.  The structures that keep us standing. The electricity shooting across our synapses... not to mention miles of arteries, veins, capillaries, etc.  just to keep the o2 on the go.  All these things  demonstrate how God made you and me to be "wonderfully" made.    And HE di
