James 1:12        It does not take a person of any wisdom at all to figure out, if you live long enough, that each one of us is going to face some challenges:  Spiritual Challenges, Emotional Challenges, Relational Challenges, Financial Challenges and Physical Challenges are common place, and their is no getting around it.        The question is how do we face these challenges head on?  We could try to do so in our own strength.  We could do so without reaching out to others. We could blame God and others for allowing such activities to occur.  We could look at the challenge from an entirely earthy point of view or we could live in such a way that that there would be a blessing as a result of the testing.        Looking for the blessing in the testing is something I am asking God to help me do.  This means tha

The Lord is pleased with Those Who worship Him And Who Trust His Love. Psalm 147:11(CEV)            As I read this passage, I can almost imagine God looking at His child that worships Him and trust His love, and I can imagine Him beaming and chuckling a bit.  Why?  Well I think He does this for the two reasons stated:  First He smiles when His children worship (intentionally surrender themselves to Him.) It simply pleases Him.  Second, He smiles because He has been reaching out to the generations for millennia stating, "I love you" by thought word and deed.  He has been reaching out to us with His love, not only as a part of a group, but He has been reaching out to us individually.     Therefore, when His children finally "get it," it has a way of blessing He who is the source of all blessings. Friendship With God Is For Those Who Reverence Him. Psalm 25:14 (LB)         God wants to be your best friend.  When Jesus came, he made it clear that those who would turn to him would no longer be mere servants of God, but we would be even more.  We would be his friends.  Check out John 15:15, and you will see what I mean.      Yet this friendship with you and me is like no other friendships we may have.  After all,  in the context of calling  us his  friends, he told us and demonstrated for us (by his very sacrifice) this truth: "Greater love has no one than this... that he lay down his life for his friend."  Plus he makes it clear that we are his friends because he told us everything his father told him... he told us the Creators' family secrets.    Therefore, the Almighty reaches to you and me for us to become his friends.  We need only to revere him, through his son Jesus.
