Back in the days of The American Civil War President Abraham Lincoln developed the Emancipation Proclamation , effectively freeing the slaves from slavery in The United States; yet, if you were to go to the plantations to where the slaves had been enslaved, you would see that they stayed slaves. Nothing changed for them? Why? The answer is simple: They did not see themselves as being free. They did not believe they were free. The did not renounce the lie they were slaves. So they kept living and acting like slaves... many until they day they died. However, some stepped out on faith and their lives were changed forever. They knew that they were free, and they acted accordingly. They believed they were free. They renounced the lie of being slaves.
