The Wisdom of The Word

And how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.   2 Timothy 3:15   So Paul is writing to the young man Timothy, and he is talking with him about "the Holy Scriptures."  If you continue reading what he says on through verses 16 and 17, he says quite a lot. But it is about the single most important topic of the Holy Scriptures that he wants Timothy to reflect from the outset.  He wants him to think about something that he has learned from the Holy Scriptures that he has known "from infancy."  He wants him to remember the wisdom of God's word.  He wants him to really think about the salvation made possible through faith in Jesus who is the Christ.   I got to thinking about this today, and it occurs to me that we write all kinds of books, blogs, articles or pamphlets related to the word of God, and in so doing I wonder if we get so wrapped up in the minutia that we f

Created To Become...

As the Spirit of The Lord works within us, We become more and more like him and reflect his glory even more. 2 Corinthians 3:18b (NLT)      Think about it.  Each day we journey with the Lord, he is working within us in an intimate relationship, and he is doing so for the purpose of empowering us to reflect his glory (be more like him) each and every day. This is amazing because, after all is said and done, you and I are being created to become like Christ .     The thing that is so important in this is NOT that he gives us a bunch of rules to follow to work at becoming like him.  He is giving us himself so we will have a relationship with him.  When this happens, out of this intimacy with God, the miracle of transformation occurs.   Be Blessed 2day Especially today     SoJourner

It's Never To Late To Grow.

Let God transform you inwardly by a complete change of your mind. Then you will be able to know the will of God... What is good and pleasing to him And perfect. Romans 12:2        Growing is a big part of life, even as your hair gets "white with the frost of many winters."  For those of us who have experienced some of the aging process, I know this is  hard to believe that growing is possible as we get older; but not when you are talking about supernatural involvement in that growth. So how does this begin to take place?      First it would be good to let it happen.  If we choose to resist the very concept of such growth, we will be a long way from experiencing the miracle. I have learned that usually this growth takes place when I face the difficult challenges of life.  I don't recall a whole lot of growth taking place in my life when I am doing okay.  It's the tough times that God uses to help me grow. So when I am facing a challenge, I can be assu
