Emotional Security OR Coping With Anxiety

Don't be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God. And the peace of God that transcends all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.   Philippians 4:6-7 Okay Christ Follower day two of discovering our Security in Christ is related to something that has worked for me for YEARS. It relates to Emotional Security.  Or it relates to helping you find more balance in your emotional well being... especially if you are being challenged by significant emotional events So let me share with you how you may focus the locus of your focus on a spiritually based foundation of discovering the Peace of God during anxiety provoking times. 1. First, when the Holy Note says "don't be anxious about anything," it is NOT saying you are sinning because you are anxious.  Check out the Garden of Gethsemane.  Jesus was so anxious He sweated blood; however He (according to the wisdom of "The An...

A Security Note From God To You

But my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory!  Phil. 4:19 It use to be, in the good ole USA, that most folks did not have a lot of anxiety about their needs. But then the economy "went south" and things are sort of different.  However, today I have an encouraging word for you as a CF: (Christ Follower) As you surrender to the LORD, one day at a time,  God's "got your back"   :o) Check out HIS above Holy Note which is designed just for you.  What does this mean as we seek first the Kingdom of God?  Well it means what it says:  God's gonna take care of you as you follow Him. And I believe He will demonstrate this clearly in 5 ways: God will take care of your (1) Spiritual needs (2) Emotional needs  (3) Relational needs. (4) Financial needs, and (5) Physical needs.  Today we mention one.  We mention the Spiritual needs.   SPIRITUALLY :  HE promises to forgive your every sin (Hebrews 9:12).  He...

THE GREAT REFUGE

GOD is our refuge and strength.  A present help in our time of need; therefore, we will not be afraid.  Psalm 46:1-2a Sometimes life throws you a few "curve ball" surprises.  Stuff just happens, and you are left reeling and off balance.  The economy, loss, strained relationships, financial loss, sickness and even death in your family catch you buy surprise... some even get whacked by an oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico while leaders party on.   This old SoJourner is here to tell you I have experienced just about all of the above up close and personal. YUK!  Going through it feels like, "WOW! what else can happen?" Such things can be overwhelming, heartbreaking and heart aching.  Anxiety provocation CAN become your daily vocation. AND depression CAN become your daily expression! "It ain't NO fun! ... Bad English, but this is definitely a fact! OR... you can do what "The man after God's own heart" did.  What's did he do?  He wrote a Psalm...

Genuine Security

I know in whom I believe, and I am convinced He is able to keep that which I commit to Him until "that" day.  2 Tim. 1:12. You want security?  Then here it is in ONE neat package.  You can be convinced of it by simply trying it:  Commit your "stuff" to the LORD to be "enough."  AND it will surprise you just how "enough" the LORD will make you with your "stuff."  What Stuff?  ALL your stuff?  Big Stuff.  Little Stuff... you get my drift? Okay.  The day has started.  Whatcha gonna do with it?  Act as if you got it together?  (Wrong Answer.)  Or are you gonna let go and let God lead?  Your choice. Make the right choice and you WILL ... Be Blessed 2 day... Especially 2 day because it's the ONLY one guaranteed. SoJourner :o)
