The Shepherd's Promise #6

"H e Restores My Soul" Thinking about this promise I ask myself, "Self from where did the soul come?"  Myself reminds me, " God breathed into man the breath of life, and he became a living soul ;" so the human existed but then God breathed and a miracle occurred:  We "Became." But what did we become?  The answer "A living soul."   Now let's get this straight.  God created the human.  Then as a result of God's breath within the human, the human became more.........well......... human?  Yup!  The human became a unique creation or "living" soul.  Well that's cool! And God did this while this ole human was just lying there in front of HIM.   However, there is more to this.  Apparently God does some restoring of this soul.   My guess is that God does the heavy lifting, as well, when it comes to re- storing just as HE did at the original storing up of God-breath within the human body  ...

Shepherd Promise #5

"He Leads Me To The Quiet Place"   And so the day begins:     "Get up! Get going! Your burning day light! Hurry! Don't just sit there DO SOMETHING!"     Yet the Good Shepherd has a better way:  "Don't just do something... Sit There... Be still and know... know God...know God's strength... know God's refuge... know God's help, hope and salvation. Stop running ahead and borrowing from a future that has not yet happened. It could turn out different from what you envision.  This place in which you are now residing is the place of residence you need... at least in this moment.  Deny yourself, and take up your Cross-->  Follow the Shepherd of your soul who has brought you to a stopping place...  stop . Let go and let 'The Good Shepherd' simply watch over you for a while. Take a load off of your feet.' "    Then...     Be Blessed 2day Your ONLY Guaranteed Day ...

Shepherd's Promise #4

"He Maketh Me To Lie Down In Green Pastures"   The Shepherd promises that we can find a place to simply lay down our weary heads when we are tired. But it looks like He has to work with you or me on that.  He works to "make" it happen, but we have to cooperate.  He just is not getting rid of our free choice.... like drinking too much caffiene or watchin horror movies or action movies and such.     In another place He makes this an invitation: "Come to me everyone of you who are overwhelmed and really burdened.  And, if you do I will give you rest."     Because of some stuff I have been through, sleep has escaped me many nights to the detriment of my heart health; yet, I have learned to cooperate and seriously ask the Gentle Shepherd to do in me what I could not do... find rest.  Surprise ... it worked.   Hopefully you will find yourself, at the end of your day, just telling the LORD about your day.  Then...

Shepherd Promise #3

"I Shall Not Want. " (I Shall Not Lack Anything I Need)   What do you need? Spiritually? Emotionally? Relationally? Financially? Physically?   The Shepherd of Our Souls Knows: He understands. He cares. He loves you.   Not matter what you are going through. YOU ARE NOT ALONE. "My God will supply All your needs according to His Riches IN GLORY!!!"   Because the LORD IS ...   Because HE is Your Shepherd, He is in the arena of life with you.   He journey's along side of you. Even if you don't feel His presence... He is waiting for you to cry out to Him. He is waiting for you to cast ALL your cares on HIM.   HE REALLY CARES FOR YOU.   Don't journey alone. Let the LORD be YOUR Shepherd. He is yours. AND you are His. Turn all the stuff over to Him. He WILL give you the stuff to be enough.   Then... Be Blessed 2day Especially 2day   SoJourner
