For This Is The Will of God

For This Is The Will of God ... Even Your Sanctification. 1 Thessalonians 4:3 We Christ-Followers throw around all kinds of words, especially when we are talking God Speak to one another; yet, it seems to me, when we do so, I wonder if we are all speaking the same language? Take for example this word sanctification.  In a world that is trying to make sins into civil rights, do we even think about one of the absolute most important concerns of the Almighty? I hear so much stuff from people how each one says more than not, "We all know how we fall short." Then, such thinking causes guilt to come in and take over.  The more we focus on our weaknesses and failures, the more we are weak and we fail. The more we test the boundaries of morality with the lowest common denominator of what we perceive enables us to get by, the more we get in the habit of living as people who just get by.  This is sad because of what is God's will and God's Way. Coping With Being Tired

HE gives power to the faint and to them who have no might, HE increases strength.  Even the young will faint and get weary, while the young men utter fall; however, those who wait upon the Lord will renew their strength.  They will mount up with wings as eagles.  They will run and not be weary. They will walk and NOT faint. Isaiah 40:29-31 Wow! "I am really tired.  I am pooped.  I am worn out.  My get up and go has got up and went. Somebody let the air out of my tires." I have heard words like these, and maybe I have experienced precisely these variations of tiredness.  I have even felt these expressions of being completely way past my ability to go on. What's a Christ Follower to do?  Good question. One thing I do is consider the good news of an ancient Prophet like Isaiah, and I choose to believe that what He is saying millennia ago is 21st century spot on true. God still gives power to those who are weak.  As a matter of fact, His grace is sufficient for

We Do Have It All

His Divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness.  It comes from knowing Him who called us by His own glory and excellence. 2 Peter 1:3 Having it all is given to us as a gift.  That is having the Supernatural power that comes from The Almighty Himself has been given or "granted" to you, and it has been granted to me. And this power pertains to everything we need pertaining to authentic and eternal living. It is the power that gives us both the ability to walk in godliness and be fully alive. This Divine power, or Holy Spirit's power, produces that which the world --with all its riches and glamour -- cannot ever give us. This Divine power produces the ability to be loving and be loved, be joyful and share joy, be peaceful and share peace, be calm in the midst of suffering and share that sense of serenity, be gentle or kind and produce the ripple effect of kindness, demonstrate goodness and inspire others to do the same, be people of in
