A Christ Follower: The Journey

Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men. Jesus Listen up.  Jesus is making a promise to fisherman.  He is telling folks, who made their livings fishing, and probably enjoying it,  "Give it up.  Stop.  Don't make this your priority.  I want to do something much more useful.  I want to empower you to catch people for God the Father." And Jesus wanted them to  carry out this new "fishing expedition"  so God can (not scale, gut, filet and fry) give them the ability to share in God's life forever.  If you remember, while Jesus was still with them on this earth,  these men still made their livings fishing, but they also made their own lives making a difference in those around them by following Jesus daily. So let's take this Jesus Challenge for our day.  Let's give up ourselves to Him.  Let's follow Jesus into our day today.  Let's go fishing. Then... Man cannot live by bread along, but he can live by every word that comes out of God's mouth. Jesus When Putting Satan In His Place Most of us like to eat.  Some more than others, and for some it is one of the most fun and interesting things they do. Yet there is something very powerful in "tasting" of God's Word.  The stuff we eat in our fave restaurants or cafes last of a while, and may be good or bad for us.  But the Eternally Good Stuff...
