Identity Seven: I Am A Body Part & I Belong

Now you are the Body of Christ.
And each one of you is a part of it.
1 Corinthians 12:27

One of the weirdest things about the Church is that people confuse it as an organization rather than an organism. Billions are spent on bricks and mortar and technology and other stuff to make it modern, relevant and up to date. We regulate it and over regulate it into oblivion. Many times these religious monstrosities become tomb like monuments that people visit, but there is no life within its ever being repaired walls.  All to often, those who need to belong, are broken and hurting, wounded and in need of a Savior. Sadly, they are left out in the cold. They do not feel invited to belong.

The Church, as given to us by The Almighty God, was organized a bit; however, its vitality, life and world transforming power came from it being The Body of Christ. People came to know the Savior (Jesus) up close and personal, and the Holy Spirit began to grow the body numerically. So, each part shared the life giving fruit and gifts that those who were lost and in need ... well ... needed. When a person came to belong to the Church, that person became a becomer who belongs to Christs and His Church. They became a productive part of the Body of Christ ... a body part ... who had a purpose and power to fulfill that purpose. And so, with each person belonging, the Body of Christ grew exponentially. As a matter of fact, this healthy church grew, because God made it healthy.  So, a healthy body did what healthy bodies do. The Church grew.  Healthy human beings, under healthy circumstances, produce other humans and the earth is populated to fulfill life and purpose.

 The good news is that we, who follow Christ, are body parts! This may sound weird, but we are a part of the Body of Jesus Christ. The good news is we belong to Him and He to us. We have a place in The Body that is IMPORTANT no matter how insignificant we may feel. Each of us are connected to Him, and He is our Head.  Don't allow the Devil, the father of all lies, tell you that you are NOT important and that you do not matter to God. You DO matter because you are one with Christ Jesus, and He will grow you to become all you need to become... just BE your part.

We Can Be So Much More.

   We Can Be So Much More:  Let us learn about the powerful identity God the Father gives us, through our being IN Christ Jesus by the power of The Holy Spirit. Let us embrace our God given Eternal Inheritance.  ( Ephesians 1:3-14)  Let us get up, each morning and give ourselves up to God. (Romans 12:1-2.)  Let us wake up! And practice Gods practice of putting off the deeds of darkness, of being empowered to behave decently, like people who live in the day time. (Romans 13:11-14) Let us cloth our selves, in Jesus, by putting on the full armor of God each day! This will make us strong in the Lord and in His mighty power, and it will give us all we need to stand against the Devil's schemes. (Ephesians 6:10-20) Let us submit to God, and resist the Devil so he will have to flee from us. (James 4:7) Learn all we can about the enemy and know he has no authority over us.   Jesus Rock Solid Teaching Regarding Picking Leaders Matthew 7:15-23      "Watch out for false prophets! They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves!  By their fruits you shall recognize them!  Do people pick grapes from thorn bushes or figs from thistles? Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, and every bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. Every tree that does NOT bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus by their fruit you will recognize them. Not everyone who says to me 'Lord, Lord' will enter the Kingdom of Heaven, but ONLY those who do the will of my Father in Heaven. Many will say to me on the day they give account of their lives, 'Lord, Lord' did we not prophesy in your name, and in you name drive out demons, and in your name perform many miracles?  Then I will tell them plainly, ' I never knew you!
