Identity #11 Delivered, Transferred and Forgiven.
Colossians 1:13-4
13 He has delivered us from the power of darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, 14 in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.
Delivered
Once humanity decided to live independent of God, our spirit's died. Like Adam and Eve, we completely lost our God consciousness. Fellowship with God was lost. Sin, though it is not spoken of today, began to enslave people. Bad habits and lifestyles completely took control of each one. Without God, it became very easing to continue to fall into sin, and to be enslaved by it. This escorted us into the darkness, isolated and separated us from God. We were unforgiven. We were condemned, and we were held captive by our darkened minds. We could not even see God's kingdom right in front of us; nevertheless, a deliverer who is much greater than the deliverer of Israel, Moses, came to our rescue. God became Emmanuel ... God with us. Jesus came to "Deliver us from All evil." Darkness lost it's power over us.
Transferred
Not only did the Lord deliver us, he gave us a transfer out of the Kingdom of darkness in to the Kingdom of the Son of his love ... The Kingdom of Light. He actually lit us up from the inside out, and he gave us a name. He called us "The Light of the World! This transfer put us above the authority of evil, darkness and sin. This transfer freed us from the chains that habitual sin laid on us. (See John 8:32-36) The Lord's truth set us free ... "Indeed." So, God delivered us and God transferred us.
Redeemed or Forgiven.
So, Jesus delivered us for a power far greater than ourselves. I am talking about the insidious evil darkness. Jesus transferred us, as he resurrected our God conscious spirits ... effectively lighting us up from within, and he forgave us. Or as Hebrews 9:12 says, "It was neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood, he entered once and for all into the holiest place, having obtained eternal redemption." He purchased us out of the Kingdom of Darkness. He forgave us once and for all, and he did so eternally. He completely wiped clean the sin virus from the hard drive of our lives. For us older saints, he wiped the slate clean. God keeps no record of our sins.
How free are you today? How locked in place or trapped by life are you? Do you know that you are forgiven.
Y'all Be Blessed Today
