God's Choice

Good Choice In love, He predestined us to be adopted as His children,  through Jesus Christ,  in accordance with His pleasure and will,  to the praise of His glorious grace,  which He has freely given to us in the one He loves. Ephesians 1:5-6  Hey did you catch what Paul is saying here? Yes, I know this is a controversial verse, bus still, he is talking about God making a choice, and a very good choice. It is a good choice  because He chose each one of us who are Christ-Followers. He predetermined each one LONG before we were created. No He did NOT just pick and choose who would go to Heaven and who would go to Hell.  For in another place Paul says, " Those whom He foreknew He predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters." Think about it.  God looked throughout all eternity, long before the world was ever created,  to see who would respond to His c...

Bought And Paid For

Do you not know that your bodies are Temples of The Holy Spirit Who is in you, whom you received from God? Your are NOT your own;  You were bought with a price. Therefore, honor God with your bodies. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20      If you have given your life to Jesus who is the Christ, don't fall into the trap of the world view that says such things as "It's my life and I will do what I want.  It's my mind and I will think what I want."  Or, "You only go around once in life so reach for the gusto." All of this is wrong,  and it will leave you with a life pattern that may help you muddle through, but it will not help you live free from the bondage to sin and death.      So let me ask you these questions: Don't you know that your body is the Temple of The Holy Spirit? Don't you know that The Almighty God has taken up residence within His Holy Temple which is indeed you.  Are you not aware of the VERY important fact you...

Ultimate Intimacy

...Whoever is united with the Lord is one spirit with Him. 1 Corinthians 6:17 --Paul           There are all kinds of ways to be intimate, but there is none like the one about which Paul writes in this passage.  This intimacy goes way deeper than the physical, the emotional or the relational.  It is an eternal intimacy which goes far beyond any intimacy a human being can provide. It is an immortal, enduring and boundless intimacy where you meet God in your spirit, once Christ Jesus is your Lord.  It is an intimacy connecting the most Holy Spirit of all with you the one He loves.      Take some time to be still today and know God:  Instead of rushing through the high paced traffic of life, take a breath and see Him in His creation.  Hear Him in your surroundings. Take the time to feel Him ever close to you at a place deeper than your soul. Be quiet for just a while and experience God . Do this and you will b...

Totally Righteous

Therefore, being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 5:1 Paul      One of the most difficult things for Christ-Followers to understand is how God makes us holy, without blemish and free from all accusation, if we continue in the faith not moved from the hope held out in the gospel. (Colossians 1:22-23) We get so wrapped up in trying to succeed and "measure up" according to our culture's rules that we lose sight of one of the greatest, if not the greatest,  miracles in each of our lives.  If we do indeed place our faith in Jesus, we immediately have peace with God. We have this peace because Jesus empowers you and me to be people whom God "justifies."  We are people whom God considers as totally righteous.  In God's sight, we are therefore considered perfect. (Hebrews 10:14 NIV) Needless to say, we don't have to continually keep striving and stressing. We can experience God's rest in Christ.  ...

More Than A Servant

I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master's business. Instead, I have called you friends. For everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you. John 15:15 -- Jesus      Those who have decided to follow Jesus are a  unique kind of people.  Each one has a transformed relationship with God indicating that there is a special intimacy with which Jesus has gifted us.  He actually calls us "friends."  And it is a friendship far beyond being a servant.  Why? The answer is simple: A servant isn't privileged with being able to know the family's business. The Lord Jesus gives that privilege to you and me who have truly surrendered our lives to Him.       Am I saying that we are in now in no way servants of the LORD? NO!  We are still beloved servants of our Lord Jesus. We are, however, servants of God with one HUGE benefit:  God wants to be our friends; therefore, He ha...

The Power of Receiving

He came to His own people; yet, His own people rejected Him. However, to those who did  received HIM, God gave the power to be children of God. John Question:  What Kind of Receiver Do You Have? SoJourner

Shining Light On Those Who Steal From Children.

Shining The Light On Those Who Steal From Children and Rob The Poor ...  As Well As The Rest of Us. A Call To Wake Up! "The time has come for you to wake up from your slumber..." Paul Romans 13:11 During the great depression 13 to 14 million people could not find work.  That was 1930 when the country had a little over 123 million people. By the end of the depression, our nation's population was somewhere around 140 million. Today 94 million people have left the workforce because they cannot find jobs. Our Population is just over 323 million now. Do the math: The per capita number of people out of work NOW is WORSE  than during the GREAT DEPRESSION. How is this a recovery? These people who cannot find work cannot pay taxes. Meanwhile, having fewer taxpayers exacerbates  our  national debt as it sky rockets to a place where we are going bankrupt.    The actual unemployment is at or more than 10%. Among Native Americans,  Afric...
