During the great depression 13 to 14 million people could not find work.  That was 1930 when the country had a little over 123 million people. By the end of the depression, our nation's population was somewhere around 140 million. Today 94 million people have left the workforce because they cannot find jobs. Our Population is just over 323 million now. Do the math: The per capita number of people out of work NOW is WORSE  than during the GREAT DEPRESSION. How is this a recovery? These people who cannot find work cannot pay taxes. Meanwhile, having fewer taxpayers exacerbates  our  national debt as it sky rockets to a place where we are going bankrupt.    The actual unemployment is at or more than 10%. Among Native Americans,  African-Americans and Hispanics it is far WORSE. Their rates of unemployment are a much higher double digit number of unemployment than 10%. Only Asian Americans are near this 10% number. The reported 4.9% is just a lot of statistical manipulation to make the present day governmental leaders look good.   And it is accomplished by subtracting the 94 million -- who have stopped looking for work --- from the total pool of employable people. If you leave 94 million people out of the total numbers, certainly the rate will look lower than it actually is.  Republicans, Democrats and Independents are guilty! These people  need to get it together, if we are going to avoid a national collapse!

Now think about this: The President of The United States wants to add a $10 per barrel tax to a barrel of oil. I think crude oil now sells at $28 per barrel. Consider what I am saying carefully.  This  is an ENORMOUS  tax that will be paid at the gas pump by EVERYONE! It will hurt the poor and the economy. The Federal Government already gets more than 18%  in taxes on a gallon of gasoline. Now they want to add 1/3 of the basic cost of oil on top of that! This is really insane! Those who spend the money to acquire the oil and process it get only 8% profit on a gallon of gas. Sadly, those who have NO  idea how we get our gasoline, will blame the oil companies, rather than the bureaucratic unaccountable leaders who are getting rich on the backs of the American people. 

The President argues that gasoline, at the pump, is very low.  And he is correct.  He also says that the price of gas goes up and down.  Again, he is correct.  So add  this more than 30% increase to the basic cost of gas. Gas is going to go up in price immediately.  BUT what do you think is going to happen to the price of gasoline if there is another mideast oil crisis?  Well you are going to be paying way more than $4 a gallon because there is more than a 30% government grab being added to that price.  And it will make no difference if you blame the oil companies.  You will still be the one paying that  gargantuan tax at to gas pump.  Do you want that big of an increase in gas prices?  I don't.  But if Congress and the President don't represent us, and they act to line their own pockets, you can count on it.  YOU will pay.  I will pay this new tax.  As Christ-Followers, because we will pay more at the gas pumps, we will have less to give in service to our LORD.

The way our leaders are spending money, and building government, has now produced this HUGE monolithic government (Which is making our GOVERNMENT LEADERS RICH.) How do you think members of congress begin with a salary between 170K to 190K become millionaires.  And while they make themselves rich, they  have squandered what we give them in taxes. And they continue to waste it.  They also spend it on abortions and other things that conflict with Christian values. 

Because of their immoral wasteful spending, we owe a debt  of $19,000,000,000,000 (Nineteen Trillion Dollars.) This means each American owes well over $155,000 in taxes a piece. Since half of us don't pay taxes, the rest of us are owing double that.  This debt and unaccountable government is robbing the poor of any chance of coming out of poverty. It is continuing to broaden the gap between those who have and do NOT have.  Soon the 3rd largest expenditure in our federal budget will be attempting to pay the bill on our indebtedness.  Leaders like our President and The Republican Majority Congress  are robbing our children of any chance of having near the lifestyle we have experienced. 

Democrats and Republicans are absolutely BOTH guilty of this devolving and destruction of our nation. Because they cater to the people who make them rich, the lobbyist, we have lost the government that is "of the people,  by the people,  and for the people." We the people need to rise up and demand an effective, efficient and accountable Government to help bring our nation back from the brink of collapse!

I am NOT a Republican.  I am NOT a Democrat. I do, however, love this nation.   I have served this nation in the military and the VA for most of my adult life.  "I have skin in the game,"  and I really do care what is happening. It REALLY troubles me what will happen to our children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, if things do not change SOON!  Even if you don't have children you need to think long and hard about the person for whom you will vote.  DON'T follow some party line.  Get honest before God in prayer, and do what is right.

Please pay attention to what is going on.  Scrutinize what ALL our leaders (Democrats, Republicans and Independents) are doing.  If they are violating the Constitution they promised to uphold, VOTE THEM OUT of office!  If they got elected promising you one thing but did another, "VOTE THEM OUT of office!  If they are not accountable to you, VOTE THEM OUT of office!  If they don't stand for your values, VOTE THEM OUT of office! If they don't provide and effective government, VOTE THEM OUT of office!  If they do not provide and efficient government, VOTE THEM OUT of office!  If they don't demonstrate they are accountable to the electorate, "VOTE THEM OUT of office!
