Consider it all joy ... when you encounter different kinds of trials.  Why is this so? Because once you have your faith tested, your faith will grow and this faith will produce a capability in you to endure whatever you face. James      One of the things that amazes me, in the Church arena of the USA, is that many come across as thinking that escaping tribulation, trials or tests is a part of being a Christian:   From where in the world does this kind of stinking thinking come? Certainly it does not come from the Bible, and that uncommon thing called common sense clearly belies such a notion.  It's like the revivalist who is reported to have said, "Once I met Jesus, all my problems ceased."  Well, once I met Christ, I gained a whole new batch of problems.  Plus Jesus said that we are no better than He who is our "master." A Military Man & Christ-Follower's View Regarding Walls      As I observe the present day political battles, I have heard a lot about walls.  One says, "I'm going to build a wall, and the Mexicans are going to pay for it."  The other says, She doesn't believe in walls, and she believes in a border less society.  If I quote her correctly I think I have heard her say, "We don't need to build walls.  We need to build bridges."  She also says, "Walls won't work."  So it seems to me, as an independent voter, that we need to consider if walls are efficacious or not. It's Astounding One of the extraordinary things about God's covenant making with us, is how we can astoundingly experience a unique relationship with the Creator. Think about this. God reached out, and reaches out to us, to forgive us, make us clean, bring healing to the brokenness in our lives, embrace us, share eternal life with us and transform us! This is unusual, when you consider most deities, want the human to appease them. It amazes me to think about how small we are in the grand scheme of things:  We are merely microscopic sub atomic particles,  resting on a microscopic molecule (called the earth) that rotates around a speck in the universe called the sun. And the sun cannot  even be seen by the naked eye elsewhere in the universe; yet, we have an opportunity to be in a personal relationship with this God who created it all, sustains it all, and God knows each part and parcel of creation by name; meanwhile He governs the miraculous life forms of Creation. ...

Hearts of Fire: Eight Women in the Underground  Church And Their Stories of Costly Faith           I recently came across a book that I had no intention of reading.  The book carries the above title.  There are a few things I want to tell you: First,  the book is free.  That by itself usually has the opposite affect on me of even wanting to read it. I tend to think, "If it's free, it cannot be worth reading."  This assumption is absolutely and indisputably wrong! Secondly, you may ask, "How can a book be free?"  Now that's a good question.  It's free because the Voice of the Martyrs nonprofit is trying to do what the news media around the world will not do. They are trying to let the world know what is going on regarding the horrific persecution of the Christian Church around the world. Ephesians 1:18      I remember the story about a boy who was rolling down the street with his little red wagon close behind.  In the wagon, he had a litter of newly born puppies, and needless to say, the mother was right there following quickly behind, and she was no doubt concerned about her babies.  As the innocent child walked down the street, he saw the local Baptist preacher.  The preacher said, "I see you have some nice 'Baptist' puppies."  The little boy nodded his head politely, smiled and he continued down the road with the mother dog keeping close watch over her children.   About six weeks passed and the puppies were far more active.  Now they actually followed behind the little boy, and so did the mother.  Happiness was all over the boys face.  Mama dog didn't look near as anxious.  The same Baptist preacher strolled by, and he asked, "How are those...

#‎ SpreadingGoodNews‬   The Lord doesn't look at time as we do, as a matter of fact, though some think God is slow in keeping His promises, they do not understand God's motives: God, you see, is being patient with human kind. He is being patient with you. He does NOT want you or anyone else to miss out on sharing life with Him forever. So He is taking his own time, and He is doing so that everyone will have the opportunity to turn from their sin, be forgiven and trans formed (Saved.) He wants as many to be in Heaven as possible.
