As I sit here at my computer, it occurred to me that God does knitting.  No God does not do it like your ancestor or parent.  God does it with a unique stands of stuff called DNA, and the Psalmist described this process well when He wrote: You created my inmost being. You knit me together In my mother's womb.   Take time out to think about what this means.  First, it means no child ever born is an accident.  They are not a mistake.  The designer of the Universe took the time to put together the parts of two people, loving or not, and He worked the miracle called you.   Second, the circumstances of conception do not make the person who was conceived any less valuable once they discovered this planet in the form of a baby. The Birth of Jesus      In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world. (This was the first census that took place while Quirinius was governor of Syria.) Night Vision Goggles????  What? Sounds kind of silly thinking about God wearing night vision goggles, doesn't it? It sure does, but hang in here with me a few minutes, and please let me explain.   The Psalm writer, King David, said it this way:   If I say, Surely the darkness will hide me, and the light become night around me," even the darkness will not be dark to You. For darkness is as light to You.   So, we really don't have God wearing those ugly warrior tools, but we do see somethings that are important to our spiritual, emotional... and even our physical well being: No matter what, as God's children, we cannot be lost to God. Even if we go through some really dark times, like "the Valley of The Shadow of Death."  If we go through the darkness of the pits of depression.  If our lives are darkened by physical pain or trauma, God is aware of what is going on.  God is aware of the pain in whic...

Did you ever feel alone?  Did you ever feel like God was not anywhere around.  Did you ever feel abandoned by God, as if God does not care?  Well I know I have; yet, those are my weaker moments. Because the bigger question is this:  Did you ever think that God's presence is with you even when you don't know it?'   I mean, where can you go to escape the loving presence of the Holy Spirit? Try going up to the heavens... especially those heavenly spiritually emotional "high" places.  If you have any sense of spiritual sensitivity,  you will find that God is there; take a nap in the depths... God will be there watching you while you rest... even in the depths of depression.   If you were to get on the largest and fastest airliner and travel all across the pacific to wherever, you will find out that God was with you when you took off, and God will be with you during the trip... Did you ever think about how The LORD is journeying with you through life no matter what:  HE is constantly, lovingly, observing you in the most positive way that you can imagine... from the first moment you open your eyes.   As a matter of fact,  HE has searched you, and He knows you.  (I am thinking HE knows you better than you know yourself.) HE knows when you decide to take a seat, and HE is right there with you, when you get up... if you can get up.  HE knows what you are thinking, no matter how far away HE may seem to be.  When you go out from your humble abode, HE is right there with you going along the way.  Indeed HE is very aware of all your deeds.  Before you open your mouth, HE already knows what you are going to say. All the while HE places a hedge of protection around you. ( I personally like to think of it as a hedge, bubble and shield of protection and prosperity.) YUP! It sounds just too good to be true....

I don't know about you, but I have been to a counselor more than a few times.  Probably needed to go more.  Sometimes, however, the cost for seeing one of these folks is REALLY expensive.  Sometimes the sessions seemed to make a positive difference. Sometimes  the sessions made very little difference. Over all I do recommend this... just have someone listen. If you accomplish nothing else, sometimes it really helps to get stuff "off your chest."   On the flip side of this, I have served as a counselor.  Never charged anything. Yet what amazed me, so very much, is how the LORD, in spite of my skills... not because of them... seemed to work miracles right before my very eyes.  I see people today who are changed in positive ways that I could only imagine.   Now...there is one Counselor I visit ever single day.  And He makes an unbelievable difference in my life, as I each day spend about 2 hours or more with Him.  Now you mig...
