INTIMACY WITH GOD: THINKING ABOUT GOD'S NIGHT VISION "GOGGLES:

Night Vision Goggles????  What? Sounds kind of silly thinking about God wearing night vision goggles, doesn't it? It sure does, but hang in here with me a few minutes, and please let me explain.
 
The Psalm writer, King David, said it this way:
 
If I say, Surely the darkness will hide me, and the light become night around me,"
even the darkness will not be
dark to You.
The night will shine like the day.
For darkness is as light to You.
 
So, we really don't have God wearing those ugly warrior tools, but we do see somethings that are important to our spiritual, emotional... and even our physical well being: No matter what, as God's children, we cannot be lost to God. Even if we go through some really dark times, like "the Valley of The Shadow of Death."  If we go through the darkness of the pits of depression.  If our lives are darkened by physical pain or trauma, God is aware of what is going on.  God is aware of the pain in which we are living.  God is there, seeing us, loving us and eventually bringing us to that which we would consider light.
 
No it does not mean we won't experience darkened times, even as we seek to follow Him.  It does mean that if He has allowed us to come to challenging days, He will give us the light and ability to grow through those challenging days.
 
Now I know that this is one of those "hard" sayings, but if we are able to believe in the Sovereign One who gave us His son-who is the light of the world- who overcame the darkest of  the darkness ...and make us the light of the world... if we are able to hold on to Him by faith in the dark times as well as the light times... we may just find how to daily "lighten up."

We Can Be So Much More.

   We Can Be So Much More:  Let us learn about the powerful identity God the Father gives us, through our being IN Christ Jesus by the power of The Holy Spirit. Let us embrace our God given Eternal Inheritance.  ( Ephesians 1:3-14)  Let us get up, each morning and give ourselves up to God. (Romans 12:1-2.)  Let us wake up! And practice Gods practice of putting off the deeds of darkness, of being empowered to behave decently, like people who live in the day time. (Romans 13:11-14) Let us cloth our selves, in Jesus, by putting on the full armor of God each day! This will make us strong in the Lord and in His mighty power, and it will give us all we need to stand against the Devil's schemes. (Ephesians 6:10-20) Let us submit to God, and resist the Devil so he will have to flee from us. (James 4:7) Learn all we can about the enemy and know he has no authority over us.   Jesus Rock Solid Teaching Regarding Picking Leaders Matthew 7:15-23      "Watch out for false prophets! They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves!  By their fruits you shall recognize them!  Do people pick grapes from thorn bushes or figs from thistles? Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, and every bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. Every tree that does NOT bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus by their fruit you will recognize them. Not everyone who says to me 'Lord, Lord' will enter the Kingdom of Heaven, but ONLY those who do the will of my Father in Heaven.
