A Christ Follower: The Journey

I AM NOT WHAT I USE TO BE The Bad News Hey Christ-Follower! As you take time to look at this controversial passage of scripture, I want you to notice something that rarely get's highlighted when this passage is read.  Most people, who really do not take time to see what is being said, in the entire context of the passage,  just look at one angle of the passage, and this viewpoint is God's originalist view. You know the part I am talking about. It's the part that tells you and me in unequivocal terminology who will NOT "inherit the kingdom of God." He highlights ten kinds of sin filled enslaving behaviors that traps people in bondage to their sins. And such people cannot free themselves by themselves from this sin bondage. These lifestyles include: Sexually imorality Idolatry  Adulterers Male Prostitutes Homosexual offenders Theives Greedy people Drunkards Slanderers (Even got the gossips in here.) Swindlers A Hazardous Belief System...

                                                  Accepted and Intimate With Christ But whoever is united to the Lord is one spirit with Him. 1 Corinthians 6:17 Great Spiritual Thing  Being intimate, not sexually, but authentically intimate, is one of the greatest things going. And it is something that many long for, but few actually have such a connection with anyone to really receive it. You can long for it. You can cry for it. You can put on a good face to try really hard to be acceptable. And there are many other things that the so called self help books say you can do to have it; however, the kind of intimacy -- that can be received by we human beings authentically -- comes at the spiritual level of our being. It tells us how this being a God empowered child of God has a life changing impact on us. Get this right in your heart and head, and the devil cannot make you do anything wrong nor defeat you. You just have to believe the truth about who you are; for example, in the last blog, I told you how that receiving Jesus gives you the power of God to be a child of God, and with this power, comes a life change in which your spirit is resurrected and connected with God's spirit. Since you are connected with God's Holy Spirit, you have what the Greek language calls "dynamos"  power or dynamite power. Identity One But as many as received Him (Jesus) to them He gave the power to become Children of God . John As we start looking at your identity and my identity, we see that your identity and mine are based on what God made possible by giving power. If you take time to read John 1:1-12, you will read one of the "Christmas" stories written as only John could write it. No there are no mangers scenes, sheep, shepherds, stables not even Mary or Joseph. You will notice it's a story about the actual beginning of time and how God and Jesus (the Word) are intimate and one, and how God (Jesus) is the God who is with us. Hey Christ-Followers, Who are you? What is your identity? How is your identity affecting your everyday life? All these are good questions because how you view yourself is how you just might live out your life; for example, a child told all their life, "You will never amount to anything," will have difficulty excelling in life. This is so because their self view is that they cannot do much, be much and that they are NOT much. Our prisons are packed with people drowned in this deluge of demonic verbal poison.
