The Word of God is living active, sharper than a two edged sword, piercing to the dividing of the spirit, the soul, joints and marrow. And it is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Hebrews 4:12 If you ever want to see, hear, smell, taste and touch something that is vibrantly alive, it is the Word of God: For millennia, when people intersected - and still do intersect - with this Word, they find it to be active and empowering. When people open themselves to this Word, it pierces to the very core of their being in a life giving transformational ways.  Like a Sword of the Holy Spirit, it reaches deep into a human life. It penetrates way down to where we are made to be God conscious (our spirits.) The resurrection of our spirits occurs, and we are born again! When the Almighty applies the Word, we are no longer just self conscious (soul perception) but the spirit and the soul are so pierced by this that the new creation God promises occurs! The old life begin...

Wow! Do you realize the incomprehensible  love that the Father has lavished on us? He actually declares that we are His children! Yes!  We are The Children of God Today! Receive this precious promise because being His children is precisely what we are! It's what you are In Christ. It's what I am In Christ. 1 John 3:1 Paraphrased Let this bless you today ... The Beginning An  Ancient Covenant On Display One of the extraordinary things about God's covenant making with us, is how we can astoundingly experience a unique relationship with the Creator. Think about this. God reached out, and reaches out to us, to forgive us, make us clean, bring healing to the brokenness in our lives, embrace us, share eternal life with us and transform us! This is unusual, when you consider most deities, want the human to appease them. It amazes me to think about how small we are in the grand scheme of things:  We are merely microscopic sub atomic particles,  resting on a microscopic molecule (called the earth) that rotates around a speck in the universe called the sun. And the sun cannot  even be seen by the naked eye elsewhere in the universe; yet, we have an opportunity to be in a personal relationship with this God who created it all, sustains it all, and God knows each part and parcel of creation by name; meanwhile He governs...

But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people." An Angel  Fearful People Pointed To Joy. I don't know about you, but I haven't heard or seen any angels lately.  So, I have to tell you  that, if I had been one of those shepherds watching over their flock at night, and a Heavenly Choir had appeared, I doubt very seriously that I would be anything but afraid ... even if some celestial type were trying to settle me down.  As a matter of fact, just that Angel talking to me might have been just a little bit disconcerting. Joy would not be anywhere near my emotional quotient.  Perhaps that is why this Messenger of God (Angel) tried to calm them down. He sure would have to do something for me before I could hear anything. Nevertheless, having admitted to this weakness of mine, the message from this messenger is quite clear once he got the shepherds past the fear: I am bringing you good news, ...

Praying We continue Advent 2 with another acrostic:  Before I fill this one out, I think I need to first define this word.  Why? I define it because I am not certain everyone actually knows this definition.  Also, I am defining it because, in other cultures, the acrostic may lose it's clarity due to differences in languages.  At any rate, acrostic is defined as a poem, word puzzle or composition in which each letter in line forms a word or words.   Such is the case in the word P.E.A.C.E.  For our purposes today, this word is equal to   P raying   E xpecting   A lmighty   C ontrols   E verything.  I made this up myself within the last couple of years to help me practice P.E.A.C.E.  Notice the  P  stands for Praying.
