Living According To God's Will: It is God's Will To Embrace You As His Child

Our Father Who Art In Heaven
Matthew 6:9 (King James Version)

Jesus Amazing Teaching

One of the most amazing things regarding God's will is HE wants to be our loving Heavenly Father.  Prior to the New Testament, and prior to Jesus becoming God on this Earth, God was only called "Father" 15 times throughout the entire Old Testament; however, in the four Gospels Jesus makes something abundantly clear! It's like headline news! It's really special what He teaches regarding what God wants for us. He is making God's will crystal clear! You see, in the 4 Gospels, He clearly describes God as "Father" 165 times! Can you see how the Almighty is making a point about how important to Him being in a relationship of intimacy with you really is? With me? And He doesn't care what color you are. He doesn't care what part of the world you are from.  As John 3:16 says, "God so loved the world that He gave His only biological Son that whoever believes in Him will never perish, but will have eternal life."

What Kind of Father Is God?
He IS Perfect Justice.

This blog isn't nearly big enough to describe this ONLY perfect Father who resides inside or outside the Universe, and who resides in our hearts. Suffice it to say, He is perfect justice.  Though the wages of sin is death, He paid the sin debt in full by paying this debt -- in full through Jesus -- who paid the debt by dying in our stead, by being crucified, dead, buried and resurrected. In a nutshell, the punishment we deserve, He took on Himself. Though we would stand before the eternal Judge guilty "as sin!" When we make His Son our Lord and Savior, He declares us NOT Guilty.  He forgives us. (Hebrews 9:22.)  He makes us Holy. (Hebrews 10:10.)  He makes us perfect in His sight. (Hebrews 10:14)  He writes his laws on our hearts, and He places them on our minds, while blotting our any memory He has of our sins. (Hebrews 10:15-17) And He brings us in to a perfect relationship with Him. (Hebrews 10:17-23.)  He makes us His children. (John 1:12, Ephesians 1:5, 1 John 3:1.)  HALLELUJAH!

He Is Perfect Love

How can I describe perfect love?  This is good question. Perhaps the best way to describe it is to use the "Love Chapter of The Bible" as my guide:  I am specifically talking about a portion of this chapter that describes what love does, and it describes how love is demonstrated. As I do this, I am going to change the word "Love" for God. By the way, the passage that is guiding us is 1 Corinthians 13: 4-8a.  This is how God demonstrates His perfect love to His children."

God is patient with us.
God is kind to us.
God does not envy.
He doesn't need to because He is God.
God is not braggadocios.
God is not arrogant.
God is not rude.
God keeps no record of our wrongs
(
He wiped the record clean because of The Cross and Covenant.)
God does not delight in evil.
God rejoices in the truth.
God always protects us.
God always trusts us.
God always gives us hope.
God always perseveres with us.
God NEVER Fails us.

Don't Impose Dad on The Father

One issue human beings have is we tend to place our experiences with our earthly father with our Heavenly Father. Some of us had excellent Dads; however, some of us had Dads that were not very good at all. And it makes NO difference what our Dad is like, our Heavenly Father's desire to be intimate with us, cannot be compared to whatever intimacy we had, or didn't have, with our earthly fathers. Mere words cannot even come close to revealing the difference between our Father who is perfect justice and love with meager human beings.  My prayer is you will be able, through God's grace, to spiritually discern the differences. Allow the Holy Scriptures to help you determine the dramatic differences.  Even though the picture posted in this blog is comforting, it doesn't really show our loving Heavenly Father in a picture form.

 Let us pray.

Dear Father In Heaven,
Thank You that You want to be my perfect Papa.
I praise You that it's Your will to allow me to get to know You and be known by You.
I humble myself to embrace You, through Jesus Your Son,
as You reach out to embrace me.
I believe in Jesus as my Lord, and my Savior, and I turn from my sin to Him.
I open my heart to receive Him so that I can experience Your lavish love that makes me a child of God.
Please, walk with me today and everyday.
In Jesus name I pray.
Amen
