God's Will: Get Your Identity Right And Be Free

It's Really Sad 😒 Sadly, many who excuse sinful living, or hypocrite living, will be surprised one day. Check out Matthew 7:21-23, and you will see people standing before God, and they are thinking they are ready to do well at judgement. They think like this because of all the good stuff they believe they did for God. What happens, when they actually stand before God, is they are actually horrifically shocked! What makes this more surprising, for them, is these particular people apparently were actually active in formal ministry throughout their entire lives. Some of these may even have attended Bible College or Seminary. They may even have earned their Doctorate degree. Yep! they appear to be Clergy or Clergy types, and they don't even know Jesus. Nor does He know them. So, this made their shock even worse. Like a lot of modernist they, on this side of Heaven, live their lives on their own terms. They hear the words of Jesus, but they live by the credo, "I did it my ...

God's Will: "Don't Freak Out!"

Don't Freak Out! As we keep on keeping on talking about God's will, I am going to briefly step away from the series regarding God's will and "Be Strong In The Lord," and take a look at the most common command in the Bible. Now I am NOT saying it is the most important command, or expression of God's will in the Bible, but I am talking about the most common command in the Bible. God says "Do not fear" or "fear not" 365 times. Now that is a lot.  Here are some examples of when God says this or God might say this today! + DON'T FREAK OUT! You're going to war with giants! +DON'T FREAK OUT! God's going to part that sea, and you just walk through! +DON'T FREAK OUT! I am calling you to share the gospel with your neighbors! +DON'T FREAK OUT! I am calling you away from you family! +DON'T FREAK OUT! One of your children, when they are in their 30s, will abandon you! +DON'T FREAK OUT! You are in the midst of Grandparen...

God's Will Continued: Be Strong In The Lord, Part #2. How?

Put on the full armor of God in order to overcome the Devil's strategy.  Ephesian 6:11 It seems very clear that it really is God's will to be strong in the Lord.  As a matter of fact, there is no question about this. The big question is, "Why is it important to be strong in the Lord, and in His mighty power?" First of all, one answer is obvious: Who wants to be weak? I doubt anyone wants to be weak; therefore, it's also obvious our Heavenly Parent probably wants you and me to be strong as well. If you gaze a little closer, at our passage, you will also see a second vital motive: God want's us to "overcome." The only way to do this is to be strong enough to be an overcomer. This takes me back to my boot camp days. At the very beginning of this basic military training, we were taken to a place called "The Confidence Course."  This place, we were told, would be something we could easily "negotiate!" To negotiate this we were told w...

BE Strong: This is God's Will Part One.

Be strong in the Lord, and in His Almighty power (Ephesians 6:10) One of the testimony's I hear way too often, from people who say they follow Christ, is "I am not perfect.  I am weak, and I come up short a lot." And they say this like it is some expression of a badge of honor. Yes, more time is spent focusing on being weak, and very little time is spent testifying to the power the Almighty provides we who are His new creations to be overcomers in the Lord. Yet, whether it be Joshua, of the Old Testament, being told to " be strong and courageous ," or whether is be the statement Paul makes here, being strong " in the Lord, and His almighty power,"  each seems foreign. And transformed Holy living seems impossible. Such thinking is completely foreign to living according to the will of God. Keep this in mind, as we continue our discussion regarding living in accordance with the will of God. Keep this in mind as we continue to think about how we might be ...

"It Is Finished!"

Three Powerful Planet Changing Words   T hese are three words that settled the absolute single most important Eternal matter: After sacrificing His body and blood, and after God making Him -- Jesus -- to be sin for us, even though He had never sinned, that we might become the very righteousness of Christ, Jesus declared victory! Yep! He declared victory with his very last dying breath! He paid the ultimate price as He laid down His life for His friends. That's you and me, people! And when He said, “It IS Finished,”  God Almighty settled it: It was finished ! Make Jesus truly your Lord and Savior. Turn from your brokenness, lostness and the sin that is destroying your life. Turn to Jesus, and ask Him to forgive you for all your sins. Ask Him to help you. Ask Him to deliver you,  and He will forgive you, and He will transform you. He will deliver you.  He will make you a new creation:  Then you can R.E.S.T : You can experience authentic … R ock-solid  E terna...

Who Is God To His Children: God's View of You!

Who Is God to His Children A Christ Follower's Perspective and Healthy Heavenly View. Many have an unhealthy (unholy) view of God that hinders their ability to know God and turn from their brokenness and sin to God.   Below is a healthy view of God that I have found helps those traumatized in life. And it helps those who are lost, or feel, lost to rewrite the bad scripts in their head and heart so they can find solid freedom in Christ. God can use this to transform your mind, and  He can completely renew it: For the full impact look these scriptures up. Read them out loud. Why? Because "Faith comes by hearing the Word of God." (Romans 10:17)   God IS Love.   1 John 4:8 God loves ME!   1 John 4:9-10    John 3:16-18 God demonstrates Love to those who will turn to Him and receive it from him: 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 God makes a covenant with us that transforms us and causes those who turn to Him to be transformed an...

An Odd Way To Experience God's Will

A Lot Has Happened A lot has happened in my life over the past year or so. My CHF has come to a point where my medical professionals tell me that they advise me to take each day as a gift.  Throughout each day, my heart reminds me I am in a not so feeling good place; however, I have discovered God's will in this. I have discovered that what Paul said about this is absolutely true: God told him, "My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness." (2 Corinthians 12:8b) What God told Paul, though it seems an odd way to discover God's will, is that it is indeed God's will that the Almighty empowers us, even at our most weak points in life. We just have to choose to allow His power to flow. This allows me, each gift of a new day, to live a full life in spite of what the medical professionals indicate is  a "death sentence."  I may go home to heaven today. May God's will be done; meanwhile, I choose to live. Even The Chinese Produced Virus -- A...
