A Christ Follower: The Journey

When the journey is challengingly long The challenge to be strong is found in stepping along Not by miles, Not By Yards In so doing you will find the challenge HARD. To meet whatever challenge, set a new pace. Shorten the space of the steps you trace. Don't focus on the past And an overly future focus will not help you to last. Live one day at a time One Moment at A Time. Then you will put more reason and  rhyme as you journey through what we call TIME. Be Blessed 2day ... Especially 2day SoJourner

I am the vine.  You are the branches. Apart from Me you can do nothing. Jesus The Divine Essence that gives us life and a sense of God's presence does NOT come because we are the "Vine." Yet it never ceases to amaze me how people treat God, spirituality or religion as if such reality is  some form of appendage to their bodies... as in arms or legs.  Yet nothing could be further from the truth.  We can no more make God... well -- God, than a branch can produce a vine. We cannot create a God to save us, strengthen us, encourage us, empower us and give us victory over the darkness, calamities or cares of life any more than a light bulb can light a room without connection to its power source. Brother Paul, formerly called Saul, expresses this relationship of Christ Followers to the Creator:  "In HIM we live and move and breathe and have our being."   Did you get that?   We don't live without the LORD.  We don't move without the LOR...

Trust in the LORD with all your heart.  Then don't put the weight of your own understanding in a place where you can lean on it.  BIG MISTAKE! Before you take the next step, in tough times, or during any other time for that matter... Seek the God of all creation for wisdom, knowledge and understanding. When you do, you may get surprised that a miracle may just occur as your journey takes the best path possible under the circumstances. Adapted From Proverbs 3:5-6 Okay now its still going on.  People are hurting for certain, and it is getting to be a global thing, if you know what I mean. Now we can keep on trying to be the Captain of our own souls.  And we can keep on letting our life be guided by our limited perception. Yup! We can do that.  OR we can try someONE higher and greater being the one in charge of our lives.  Let me explain this another way:  We can do plan "A" for a change:  Trust in the LORD with all our hearts. Or we can choose plan "B...

For this is the will of God, even your being made holy and set apart for God's holy use. 1 Thessalonians 4:3 God's will for our lives is that we be formed into the image of Christ. If we really want to become the single most potent instrument of God's grace (no matter what the circumstances) that we can be, it must be our primary goal to genuinely surrender ourselves to The Christ, The Cross and The New Covenant whereby we can fully "become." I don't think God cares so much about your position in life.  That is He does not care whether or not you are a Doctor, Teacher, Lawyer, Laborer, Trades Person, Carpenter or Caregiver.  He does care what kind of Doctor, Teacher, Lawyer, Laborer, Trades Person, Carpenter or Care Giver you are and who you are to become. A long time ago some bad stuff happened to a man whom God called (In KJV)  a "perfect" man.  I am talking about a man called Job.  Some people have been known to rise from rags to riches. Well Job took another route.  His life would best be described as a life of crashing and burning as he plummeted from  riches to rags. AND he lost a whole lot of family that he loved along the way. Now, if you read the book, you will find out that he had some friends to come by to help him in his struggles.  They actually sat with him quietly (We call this Ministry of Presence today) for about 7 days.  They really were a comfort to him.  But when they opened their mouths, they did all the wrong things and demonstrated the classic putting of their feet in their mouth disease.  It would have been better if they had just left Job to his misery. Today, on Planet Earth, there is a whole lot of hurting going on.  Spiritual Crisis, Emotio...
