Armor of God: Win The Battlefield of Your Mind.

 


As you put one the full armor of God, “Take the helmet of salvation…” — Ephesians 6:17a

The Holy Spirit inspires us to continue armoring up by putting on this very important piece of the Armor of God. I am talking about "The Helmet of Salvation." Here is why it is so vitally important: A soldier could survive a wound to the arm or leg, but a blow to the head was fatal. Spiritually, the mind is the battlefield, where Satan and his minions, use the world, the flesh and himself to aim his fiercest attacks — confusion, accusation, fear, doubt, and discouragement. DON’T BELIEVE ANY OF THIS FOR THESE COME FROM “THE FATHER OF ALL LIES"… SATAN!

God's Answer To The Evil One and His Lies:

The helmet of salvation is God’s answer to all of it: It is not merely the moment you were saved; it is the ongoing protection that comes from being saved, and from being who you are in Christ. When you “take” the helmet, you actively choose to let God’s truth guard your thoughts:

  1. I am forgiven.

  2. I am redeemed.
  3. I am secure in Christ.
  4. I belong to God.
  5. My future is settled.
  6. I AM saved by grace, through faith, and it is not of myself. God gives this salvation, this grace, and this faith, as a gift.

  7. God, through Christ Jesus, by the power of the Holy Spirit gives me what I need to do HIS works that HE has prepared in advance for me to do! Count on it!

    Salvation is not fragile. It is not easily shaken. We have a choice to believe it is God's covering strong enough to silence the enemy’s lies and steady your mind in every season.

Challenge: Choose to believe the truth! Choose to renounce any, and all, of Satan's lies, his confusing, his accusations, his doubts, his discouragement. Submit to God, resist the Devil, in the name of Jesus! Say to him, "The Lord rebuke you, in Jesus name! Leave my presence, In Jesus name!  (James 4:7 & Jude 1:9) I refuse to believe your lies, evil one, and I trust God, whose Word is true.  In Jesus name. You CAN WIN The Battlefield of your mind!

Prayer

Lord, today I take the helmet of salvation. I surrender to you to guard my mind from every lie, every fear, and every accusation. Let the truth of who I am in Christ be the loudest voice I hear. Fill my thoughts with Your peace, Your promises, Your presence and Your victory! I pray this in Jesus name. Amen.


May you be blessed with these eternal truths.

Pork Chops & God: When I was a child, I remember every one of us sitting around the kitchen table. Mom and Dad were sitting at either end of the table, and if I remember correctly, the three boys sat on one side, and the girls sat on the other side. I remember reading a comic strip called " Little Abner. "  He actually was a big muscular guy wearing overalls. And I remember he was sitting at a table, all by himself, with a stack of pork chops on a plate. He had all the pork chops to himself. I actually imagined what it would be like having those pork chops to myself.
