Armor of God: Peace Filled Preparation
🌿 Empowered To Walk The Walk & Talk The Talk:
Ephesians 6:15 — “Stand firm… with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.”
As we continue to examine being "clothed in Christ," It seems there’s something striking about Paul’s imagery in this verse of Holy Scripture. When he describes the armor of God, he doesn’t skip the feet. Indeed, in battle, unprotected or unstable feet meant vulnerability. A soldier who couldn’t stand, couldn’t fight. Here we learn some of God's plan to actually walk out our faith, as He gives us the stuff to be enough, and He graces us to walk the walk and talk the talk.
Paul says our stability—our ability to stand firm in the LORD—comes from being grounded in the gospel of peace. Not just knowing it, but being ready with it. The gospel, provides peace with God and it equips us to win the spiritual warfare against the evil forces of wickedness located in the Heavenly dimension. The Gospel of Peace gives us traction as the evil one, and his minions, constantly try to knock us off balance with lies and deception.
Walking in Christ’s peace isn’t passive. It’s active, steadying, and mobilizing. When your heart is anchored in the good news—God is for you, Christ has reconciled you, and the Holy Spirit empowers you. You can walk into any spiritual challenge, or any challenge, with your feet planted in the truth, and this gives you courage. Peace comes when your feet are firmly planted in the good news of our LORD.
Additionally, readiness matters. It means being prepared to respond with boldness. Peace becomes not just something you receive, but it is actually something you walk out as you stand firm in the LORD and in HIS mighty power.
✨ Your Challenge:
🙏 Prayer
Lord, today I fit my feet today with the readiness that comes from Your Gospel of Peace. I choose to believe this will steady me me where I feel shaken. I choose, by your grace and power, to walk grounded by faith in the good news of Christ, carrying Your peace with me. I pray this in Jesus Name! Amen.
