God Calling: God Wants You to Hear from Him as He Accomplishes His Word in You
So shall my Word be that goes forth from My mouth.
It shall not return to me void.
But it shall accomplish that which I please.
It shall prosper in the thing for which I sent It.
Isaiah 55:11
It shall not return to me void.
But it shall accomplish that which I please.
It shall prosper in the thing for which I sent It.
Isaiah 55:11
Wherever you are in the world, God wants you to hear from Him: Like the man in the picture above, whether you read the Word, hear the Word, study the Word, meditate on the Word or memorize the Word, your Creator is longing to speak to you, if you will listen, and I will tell you why.
First, when you intersect with God's Word, as our scripture lesson implies, the very Words flow from the Holy Spirit as if they are coming from the very mouth of God. And God says what He is speaking will NOT be wasted. What He says will not return unto Him void. They will, however, accomplish whatever He pleases. As a matter of fact, those things He speaks will prosper in accomplishing what He is broadcasting to you.
This brings us to you. How will you benefit? You can count on it, the words will not be wasted, but how they impact you depends on how well you are listening. As Jesus taught, they can go in one ear and out the other. They can be an emotional thing where you really feel good about what He is teaching, but your grasp is shallow; therefore, when the pressure comes the Word wilts away in you. Or you can be a person wrapped up in a lot of stuff and things, or you have a lot of worries, so you cannot focus and really be fully blessed. Nevertheless, someone is going to get the full blessing one way or the other. I hope it is you that simply soaks in the Word and let it rest there in your heart until everything God intends will be a part of your life. Either way, the Word is not wasted.
My prayer is each one of us would be really good listeners in order to be blessed to be a blessing. In Jesus Name. My prayer is we will all see, and experience, what God is accomplishing through His Word right before our very eyes. Yes, God is continually calling.
