What Are You Going To Do With Your Blessings?

3Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, 4who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. 5For just as the sufferings of Christ overflow to us, so also through Christ our comfort overflows.…

A Whole Bunch of Suffering Going On

A whole bunch of us, around this earth, have experienced quite a few challenges lately. This Covid-19 has done a number, for whatever reasons, on families in 180 nations. One beautiful thing that has happened, through all this,  is that many of us have been blessed by Almighty God, His Son, and The Holy Spirit. We have been blessed by His comfort, compassion and the ability to become overcomers during challenging times. Times have been troubling. Real suffering has occurred; nevertheless, God's grace, once again, has proven to be sufficient to see us through: We actually experienced, and still do, victory in Jesus.

Lessons Learned

Now is the time to take time out to think about lessons learned. It's a time to think about how God is seeing us through, and He saw us through. It's time to pay close attention to how God has helped us spiritually, emotionally, relationally, financially and physically. How did His grace overflow to us to comfort us, strengthen us and revitalize us? How did God restore our souls? Some of us actually suffered, but rather than caving in to the suffering, somehow God empowered us to suffer well. How did God do this through us?  Once we pay attention to all the wonderful things our good God did (and does) we need to take important action based on our lessons learned.

What Are You Going To Do With The Stuff To Be Enough?

After learning from your lessons learned about God getting you through, and after you discover the stuff God gave you to be enough, based on the authority of this scripture we are examining above, how are you going to "pay it forward?" Don't make the mistake so many people make. Don't be a person who keeps all the goodies of the good good Father to yourself. Take what you learned and ask yourself, "What am I going to do with these miracles God gave me?" I can promise you that there are others who need to be comforted with the same comfort that God gave you. There are others, who are suffering. They really need a little help that you can give. They too have spiritual, emotional, relational, financial and physical needs that need to be met in the same manner as yours have been met. And you can give it because you received it. You can give it because, now, you have wisdom based on having lived victoriously through suffering.  Since you received this comfort, what are your going to do with your comfort now?

Challenge:

Let those blessings -- of God -- help you overflow the same blessings on those who need God's blessing. Pay attention to your heart: Has God put someone on your heart that needs God's help? Don't waste your blessings on your own selfies and self. Yes! Be Blessed To Be A Blessing! Make a difference in someone's life today. Don't forget! God made a huge difference in you!
