Getting Powered Up And Ready For Today

How To Be God Strong.

Ephesians 6:10 
Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of His might

The Christian's liberating power pack of protection from Satan and his evil power is Ephesians 6:10-18. The first thing you should see in this passage about receiving God's protection is that our role is not passive. God requires us to be active participants in the spiritual defense that He has provided for us. Notice how often we are commanded to take an active role of clothing ourselves IN Christ (Romans 13: 12-14,) and we are to do so in the way described by the Apostle Paul in Ephesians 6:10-20. Below is part of that passage.

Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of His might . Put on the full armor of God, that you may be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the full armor of God, that you may be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm (verses 10-13).

You may be wondering, "If my position in Christ is secure and my protection is found in Him, why do I have to get actively involved? Can't I just rest in Him and let Him protect me?" That's like a soldier saying, "Our country is a major military power. We have the most advanced cyber warfare materials, tanks, planes, missiles, drones and ships in the world. Why should I bother with wearing a helmet, standing guard or learning how to shoot a weapon? It's much more comfortable to stay in camp while the tanks and planes fight the war." When the enemy troops infiltrate, guess who will be one of the first soldiers to get picked off! Spiritually many Christ-Followers are wounded and are more likely to fall into sin because they do not actively and intentionally "armor up" or clothe themselves, each new day, in Christ.

God, our "commanding officer," has provided everything we need to secure victory over the evil forces of darkness. But He says, "I've prepared a winning strategy and designed spiritual, invisible and effective weaponry. But if you don't do your part by staying on active duty, you're likely to become a casualty." You can't expect God to protect you from demonic influences if you don't take an active part in His prepared strategy.

Prayer: Lord, I choose to be strong in You today and actively stand in the strength of Your might. I now put on your armor as I now read Ephesians 6:10-20, and I surrender each part of me as I clothe myself in Christ. In Jesus Name. AMEN!

You have all you need, today, to be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power.

We Can Be So Much More.

   We Can Be So Much More:  Let us learn about the powerful identity God the Father gives us, through our being IN Christ Jesus by the power of The Holy Spirit. Let us embrace our God given Eternal Inheritance.  ( Ephesians 1:3-14)  Let us get up, each morning and give ourselves up to God. (Romans 12:1-2.)  Let us wake up! And practice Gods practice of putting off the deeds of darkness, of being empowered to behave decently, like people who live in the day time. (Romans 13:11-14) Let us cloth our selves, in Jesus, by putting on the full armor of God each day! This will make us strong in the Lord and in His mighty power, and it will give us all we need to stand against the Devil's schemes. (Ephesians 6:10-20) Let us submit to God, and resist the Devil so he will have to flee from us. (James 4:7) Learn all we can about the enemy and know he has no authority over us.
