A DAILY PRAYER FOR MY FAMILY

Today I feel led to blog by praying for my family.  

If you like, you can use this to pray for yours each day as well.

Dear Lord Jesus Son of The Living God have mercy and hear my prayer for my wife, my adult children, my grandchildren and their spouses. 
 You know us all by name.

I come to you as our FATHER  in Heaven.  Grant us grace to have the spirit of wisdom and revelation to know YOU better today than we have ever known you before. 

So move by YOUR HOLY SPIRIT that our lives would bring glory and honor to YOUR Holy name. Come and be so intimate with us that we could not help but authentically be the light of the world and the city on a hill. By YOUR grace cause us to be like savory salt to put savor into the lives of those with whom we come into contact. May our very lives be formed in to the image of Christ Jesus. May YOUR Kingdom indeed come as You abide in us and we in YOU.

We want YOUR will to be done, O LORD, on Earth just like it is done in Heaven. We ask that YOUR will would be done in our hearts and lives like it is done in Heaven.   Give us grace to be filled with the knowledge of YOUR will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding, and thereby cause us to live lives worthy of YOU and please YOU in everyway ... bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power according to YOUR glorious might.  I pray this so that we would have great endurance and patience (even temperedness.) I pray this that we would joyfully be thankful because YOU have qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints!  YOU have rescued us from the dominion of darkness!  And YOU have brought us into the Kingdom of The Son of God whom YOU love,  in whom we do have redemption and the forgiveness of every sin!

YOU know our needs even before we ask, but we also know that we have not because we ask not.  Yes, today we do ask YOU to supply all of our needs according to YOUR riches in glory, but we ask more than that:  YOU have called us to serve YOU as new creations, Ministers of Reconciliation and as YOUR Ambassadors on this Earth. Give us whatever we need so as to fulfill this calling YOU have placed on each of our lives.

Forgive us when we sin, and give us supernatural grace to forgive anyone and everyone who sins against us.  Make us into merciful people, O LORD. For YOU teach us "Blessed are the merciful. For they shall obtain mercy." Set us free from holding on to that which really will torment us, which is unforgiveness.  For we realize flesh in blood is not our enemy, but the Devil and his demons are the ones who would hook us into having unmerciful hearts. Destroy the Devil's work in our lives, as YOU came and did indeed destroy his work on the Earth.  (1 John 3:8b)

Please don't lead us into temptation, but deliver us from all evil, the evil one and all harm.  Have mercy and maintain around these whom I love that completely powerful refuge, stronghold and fortress of YOUR hedge, YOUR bubble and YOUR shield of protection and prosperity.

I close this prayer for my family, LORD, recognizing that "it" is not about us and our mere short journey or lives on this Earth.  "It" is ALL about YOU!  "It's" about YOUR Kingdom,  "It's" about YOUR Power!  And it is about YOU receiving ALL THE GLORY FOREVER!

I daily commit to pray for my family, and I have been doing so for a very long while.  I take this opportunity to challenge you to do the same every single day God gives you breath.  Then ...

We Can Be So Much More.

   We Can Be So Much More:  Let us learn about the powerful identity God the Father gives us, through our being IN Christ Jesus by the power of The Holy Spirit. Let us embrace our God given Eternal Inheritance.  ( Ephesians 1:3-14)  Let us get up, each morning and give ourselves up to God. (Romans 12:1-2.)  Let us wake up! And practice Gods practice of putting off the deeds of darkness, of being empowered to behave decently, like people who live in the day time. (Romans 13:11-14) Let us cloth our selves, in Jesus, by putting on the full armor of God each day! This will make us strong in the Lord and in His mighty power, and it will give us all we need to stand against the Devil's schemes. (Ephesians 6:10-20) Let us submit to God, and resist the Devil so he will have to flee from us. (James 4:7) Learn all we can about the enemy and know he has no authority over us.   Jesus Rock Solid Teaching Regarding Picking Leaders Matthew 7:15-23      "Watch out for false prophets! They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves!  By their fruits you shall recognize them!  Do people pick grapes from thorn bushes or figs from thistles? Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, and every bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. Every tree that does NOT bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus by their fruit you will recognize them. Not everyone who says to me 'Lord, Lord' will enter the Kingdom of Heaven, but ONLY those who do the will of my Father in Heaven. Many will say to me on the day they give account of their lives, 'Lord, Lord' did we not prophesy in your name, and in you name drive out demons, and in your name perform many miracles?  Then I will tell them plainly, ' I never knew you!
