Armor of God: The Shield That Stops Satan's Fire

Image
The Shield That Stops Satan's Fire “In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.” — Ephesians 6:16 IN ADDITION TO ALL THIS As we continue this series where we put on the armor of God, to clothe ourselves in Jesus Christ, in order for us to be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power, and as we do this to be able to stand against the Devil’s schemes, the Apostle Paul tells us we need to add a really vital part to our spiritual armor , if we want to defeat Satan in his primary scheme: After all,  “He is a liar, and he is the father of all lies, and when he lies he speaks his native language.” {John 8:44c} Therefore, we need to add “The Shield of Faith.” Then we are empowered to stop Satan's fire. It's kind of like we feel during times when our loved ones are going to leave us here or have already gone on to be with the Lord; nevertheless, into our storm of uncertainty, Jesus speaks peace and encourages us to achieve a Heavenly view. Let not your hearts be troubled. Neither let them be afraid. You believe in God. Believe also in me.   The Place. The Relationship. The Heartbeat Heaven, in this moment, is not jus...

19. Consequently, you are no longer foreigner and strangers, but you are fellow citizens,  with God's people, and you are also members of His household, 20. Built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus, himself, as the chief cornerstone. 21.  IN Him the whole building is joined together, and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. 22.  And in Him you too are being built together to become a dwelling a dwelling in which God lives by His Spirit. Ephesians 2: 19-22 Questions and Observations:      Here are a  couple of questions for you, as well as some observations: How do we build a church? How do we become the Church? I have observed far too many church leaders, by their actions, seem to  think they have the stuff to be enough to build the Church, but we cannot.  Therefore, rather than join God in what He blesses, leaders get all wrapped up in doing their thing, trying to connect by providing top down no...
