HOT COALS & Acts of Random Kindness

Relearning A Lesson From The Love of My Life            Today I saw a miracle.  The love of my life simply demonstrated an a ct of r andom k indness a few days ago on someone who clearly is angry at us.  What do you think happened?  More kindness in return? Nah! We got a venomous multi-page hate filled letter. This letter was sent by a present day man - who is putting himself out there as a holy person -- recalling memories from a brain that he said was influenced by drugs -- with which he had been experimenting in his earlier years. TLOMLs kind act was like pouring hot coals on this man's head.  Something the Bible says might just happen. So don't expect warm and fuzzies when you practice A.R.K .ing.      I have worked a lot with people who have experimented with drugs or outright used them. One of the things that objectively and scientifically has been determined is that memories, during the time of usage, are ...

Giving Away Freedom!

Dear Christ Followers, As you know, I wrote and published a book called Rock-Solid Living In A Quicksand World , and I did so because God has made it clear to me that the foundations of western civilization are crumbling. Coping With Rejection

He came unto His  own, and His own did not receive Him. John 1:11 The Apostle John       Often when people think of Jesus, they think of the man who was Mr. Popular. Because He worked miracles, and because He spoke with such authority that people found His speech irresistible or challenging. The bible talks of how that crowds followed him.  All of this is true; however, it is not the whole story.      For example, when John opened his gospel he talked about Jesus ( The Word) being with God in creation, and he talked about how that nothing was made that was made without Jesus being involved in it.  Then he tells us something like, and though all things were made by Him, He came unto His own, and His own didn't receive Him.  If you read the entirety of John's gospel,  you will see how that initially even His biological  brothers did not receive Him. They challenged Him and or  rejected Him. They even tried to force...

Being Set Free.

It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Galatians 5:1a      To experience freedom from your past begins with believing what God says about you.  You will not know freedom, if you worry about what others think of you. You must know that, in Christ Jesus, you are accepted, filled with worth, deeply loved by the Lord, and you matter to him.  You are significant to him. When Jesus completed his supernatural freedom producing redemptive work, he meant it when he said on the Cross, "It is finished!" One of the single most important things you must believe is the truth that you are indeed free!  John says it this way, "You shall know the truth, and the truth will set you free.  (John 8:32.) Crucified Living Christ Follower

I have been crucified with Christ; nevertheless, I live. Yet not I , but it is Christ Jesus who lives within me. For the life that I live in this body, I live by the faith of the Son of God who loves me and gave himself for me. Galatians 2:20       Something supernatural happened to all who follow Jesus.  We were all crucified with him, individually and collectively.  Many have read Galatians 2:20, and have said to themselves, "I sure wish I was the kind of person who can honestly say that."  Well you can be and are that kind of person: Paul is NOT saying that "it's as if I were crucified with Christ." He is actually saying this is what happened to you and me when Jesus died on the cross.  We didn't make it happen.  God did, and we benefitted from God in action. Just as the two thieves or zealots were there next to Jesus on the day of his crucifixion, so was every other person who believes in him.   And like one of those thieves we ha...
