Overcoming Being Shipwrecked

1 Peter 5:7
Cast all your cares on Him because He cares about you.

All to often people find life catches them in a storm: Spiritual attack, emotional struggles, relationships that are cracking, financial floods or some kind of physical illness, like a hurricane, tornado or water spout up end the individuals life. It all becomes way too much.  Many say that 2020 is filled with such challenges, and I don't think it would be too difficult to prove what they are saying. As a matter of fact, it would be quite easy. We have had a whole lot happen this year.

Therefore, I have tried to encourage people: I want to do so now. You see, there is nothing that has happened to you in 2020, or any other time,  that God did not already know about. God told us there would be times like this. His prophecies are clear.  God knows you. God knows your name. God knows what you are going through, and if you cry out "Lord Help ME," And if you do it like Peter did, when he tried to walk on water, and then he sank, someone exponentially stronger than yourself will pull you up out of the bad sinking experience that you are going through. He has helped me more times than I can remember.

The Problem of Bad Choices and Sin

Sometimes, bad choices shipwreck a person's life. You know what I mean? Some people try to live independently of The Creator.   They don't need God. They don't need God's Son, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit simply does not matter to them. As a result, such people reap what they sow! And I can tell you that your biggest baddest choice would be to think you can overcome by yourself and that God does not matter.   Keep making bad choices, and you just as well be holding an anvil while you tread water in the storm! You need the Lord as much as I need the Lord!

However if you cast yourself, and those cares, on Him, If you turn to the Savior, and if you let God care for you,  He will care for you! Right now ... let go of what is giving you that sinking sensation or sense of being overwhelmed! Let go of any sin that is ensnaring you! Hold tightly to Jesus, the Son of God, who is one with God! Hold on tightly to the Cross of Christ! There is no greater life preserver! When everything else is going under, the Cross of Jesus is unsinkable.  Don't stay focused on the storms. Focus on the one who calms the storms! Whatever might sink you, let go of it, and let it sink! You have a Savior who is closer than your next breath! Let Him save you!  When you allow God to be in charge of your life, and the storms of life, you will find that your shipwreck challenges of life will become things of the past. Or they will be more manageable. So, "let go and let God" do what only God can do! You will be glad you did.

Be blessed today, especially today.
