Seeking A Sign: A Freedom In Christ Thought

You shall keep the commandments of the Lord your God,
to walk in His ways and to revere Him.

Deuteronomy 8:6

Occasionally, we ask God, "Hey Lord! Will you do me a favor? Will you give me a sign? And He does so, graciously, from time to time; however, it seems to me that it's far better to prove ourselves to God Almighty rather than to push Him for the reverse to happen.

Think about this: We are the ones who will give account for our lives. (Romans 14:12)  We are the ones He has saved from bondage to sin and death. ( John 8:31-36) We are the ones He makes into new creations, causes all the old things to go away, and He is the one who transforms us to be in Jesus image.  (2 Corinthians 5:17-21) He does so because of the work of the Christ, on the Cross, and because of the Eternal Covenant He has made. This is The Eternal Covenant by which He redeems us or forgives all our sins, makes us holy, perfects us in His sight and transforms us -- writes His laws on our hearts and places them in our minds, as He gives us access to The Holiest Place in the Heavenly dimension. (Hebrews 9:12; 10:10-24) He actually frees us to be able to keep the laws we are told to keep in our scripture lesson at the top of this  web blog.

Therefore, to really walk in the freedom God gives us, through Jesus, we would do well to follow the teachings of the Apostle Paul, regarding these matters, who said, "Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a worker who does not need to be ashamed, handling accurately the word of truth." (2 Timothy 2:15)

Yes, it is indeed, if we truly want to be free in Christ, it is vital we don't insist God proves Himself to us, but that we, by the grace of God, determine we will daily surrender our lives to God's goodness, grace, Spirit led guidance and God's  love. Then the smart thing to do would be for us to set our wills to daily prove ourselves to God.

This is a great way to truly live! It is a freedom way to live!

God Bless You!
