Don't Let Yourself Be Fooled

 “There are two ways to be fooled. One is to believe what isn't true; the other is to refuse to believe what is true.” Soren Kierkegaard


I have seen Soren Kierkegaard's above utterance up close and personal lately. It's maddening to see deception -- or willful ignorance -- in action; however, the Lord Jesus did tell us that even some of "the very elect" would be deceived. I can imagine it broke Jesus' heart to say these words of truth.

Thankfully, God is in control. Sadly, those giving in to deception just might find themselves being in attendance in what is described in Matthew 7:21-23. This is the passage where pseudo believers find themselves rejected in the worse kind of way. I wrote about this in Chapter 3 of Rock Solid Living In A Quicksand World -Rewind, and in the previous book with a similar name. Yes, there are those who claim to know Jesus, but they follow their own foolish ways. They follow what Jesus calls "False Prophets!" They allow those around them to influence them in ways contrary to right way living! And because they willfully make choices contrary to God's will, they WILL be shocked at how God speaks to them on that day when we ALL will give account for our lives.

This is not what the Lord wants for you: He has given you everything you need to live a complete and full life. He has given you clear guidance of right and wrong in the Ten Commandments. He fulfills this law of His in Jesus and in Jesus' teachings, especially the teachings of "The Sermon on The Mount." God instructs you on how to have God's law written on your heart and put it in your brain. God has done everything to tell you how to choose what is right.

We Can Be So Much More.

   We Can Be So Much More:  Let us learn about the powerful identity God the Father gives us, through our being IN Christ Jesus by the power of The Holy Spirit. Let us embrace our God given Eternal Inheritance.  ( Ephesians 1:3-14)  Let us get up, each morning and give ourselves up to God. (Romans 12:1-2.)  Let us wake up! And practice Gods practice of putting off the deeds of darkness, of being empowered to behave decently, like people who live in the day time. (Romans 13:11-14) Let us cloth our selves, in Jesus, by putting on the full armor of God each day! This will make us strong in the Lord and in His mighty power, and it will give us all we need to stand against the Devil's schemes. (Ephesians 6:10-20) Let us submit to God, and resist the Devil so he will have to flee from us. (James 4:7) Learn all we can about the enemy and know he has no authority over us.
