Responding To Propaganda of "Atlantic Magazine"
Hi Y’all,
Please read this article: https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2019/02/united-methodists-fracture-lgbt-plan-rejected/583693/ You may have to copy and paste this to your URL.
Now here is my response to this propaganda:
The slant of this reporter from "The
Atlantic" regarding the General Conference of the United Methodist
Church is ridiculous! It is heartbreaking to see such propaganda. :(
Those who voted, for what is called the "traditional
plan," are people who want to abide by the power of the transforming grace
of the Gospel to change lives, and not leave them in bondage to sin and death.
The final vote of The Special General Conference 2019 is pro-family,
pro-marriage and pro-life. The only thing this vote is against is that it
is against people, who are in bondage to sin & death, remaining, in their
chains, with sin deceived broken lives.
Once again,
someone in the news does not report fairly, nor in a balanced way. Those who
supported the "One Church Pan" (Bishop's Plans,) led those who
support the "Traditional Plan" into believing they were honest
brokers, but to the very end, they demonstrated their true colors of not
wanting to abide by any agreement they made. They probably still won't, as is
demonstrated by their track record of violating their ordination vows, the
Bible and The Discipline of The United Methodist Church. This especially
includes the so-called progressive Bishops on the Council of Bishops.
Secondly, we are called traditionalist by those
who relabel things. We are not "self-described traditionalist" as is
declared by the writer of this article. A better term is "Originalist."
We believe in the original design of the family, of marriage, and the work of
the Kingdom as God originally intended it. We have been CALLED "traditionalist."
It is NOT something we self-identify with.
3rd I'm grateful that the Bishops are surprised!
Once again, they made a covenant in which they
stated was to try to "Find a way forward." They implied they are
willing to reach across the aisle to one another, but all they did was put up
roadblocks for people coming together to propagate their so-called gay agenda,
and they did not get away with it. Throughout this process, the so-called
progressives, and their Episcopal leaders, attempted to manipulate the whole
conversation. Their deceitfulness and mean-spiritedness, throughout this
process, was obvious to any reasonable minded person.
After putting on a disrespectful display at
General Conference, without regard to who they were hurting, they now have
themselves portrayed as victims. They are not.
Please pray for the Holy Spirit to continue to
work this out for the good of The Kingdom of God.
In Christ
