There is something supernatural about God's love being allowed to grow up from within us that we can actually let happen. The same is true of integrity or faithfulness. Once a person becomes a Christ-Follower, by turning from sin to salvation as we place our faith in Jesus, God's truly amazing grace begins to influence our lives. All we have to do is daily surrender to the Almighty to let this happen.
God's new Eternal Covenant makes this clear: Check out Hebrews 9:12 and learn how God cleanses us from our sins "once and for all" and eternally. Examine Hebrews 10:10 to see how God actually makes us holy. Or what about Hebrews 10:14 and following how God makes us "perfect" in God's sight. Or so says the NIV translation. But God does not stop there. The Holy Spirit speaks and adds that God writes the laws on our hearts and puts them into our minds. In other words God transforms us. It really is "a God thing."
So, how are we to respond? We are to let it happen. In this scripture, we are informed clearly that we can let God's love grow up within us. We can let faithfulness or integrity also bear it's fruit. We can cooperate with God by letting these character traits be lived out in front of everyone for everyone to see. We can let them be indelibly be etched on our hearts, and it is then we can watch God's favor abound and our reputation be clearly noted by all the people that are around.
My questions regarding all this are, "What are we going to let happen today? What spirituality are we going to hold on to? What are we going to intentionally hold out there for all the world to see? Are we going to yield to our loving God and Creator to inscribe these character traits, and more, on our hearts? Are we going to then benefit from God's favor and our new opportunities to relate to others as the God's light in this dark world? These are some good question to ponder. Yes, they are good questions indeed. What are our answers?
