God's Will: Taming Our Weakness Finding Help

There are times during each of our journeys that we have within us all the stuff to be enough. But there are other times when business,  and the relentless never ending journey,  waft over us like huge waves that wash us ashore to the beach of weakness and simply needing a little help from our friends. This becomes more and more true as we age, and as our physical beings experience less stamina and or endurance. God wills to be available to His Covenant People -- Christ Followers -- for such times as these.

He is very clear about this: Listen in to some of His conversations with us "I WILL strengthen you." I WILL Help You.  For God's Holy people, Jesus promised to not leave us comfortless, but that He would send us another comforter or helper which is the Holy Spirit.  And the Gospel According to Acts tells us (See Acts 1:8) That each one of us would receive power once the Holy Spirit came upon us.  The Greek word for power is "dynamos" or dynamite power. So God promises via the Holy Spirit a power exponentially greater than ourselves would be available us.

There are spiritual practices we can ... well ... practice that will give us this help and this strength.  One such practice is to simply pray or ask, "Holy Spirit Help Me!" And I think most of us would know when we need to practice this practice.  Also, Isaiah promises in another place (Isaiah 40:29-31) That God gives power to the faint,  and or those who have no might He will increase or  our strength, IF we wait on the Lord.  So, if we sit quietly and rest in the Lord and wait on Him He will help us.  Also, if we wait, as in wait on tables or serve others, God will strengthen us as well.

Additionally, you may just need to simply rest period, and in the refreshment of your rest you will gain both strength and help.

My point being, yes, if there are physical or other issues, address them with the appropriate self care; however, you may just be very surprised how God wills to help you and strengthen you, if you let Him, and if you cooperate with him to tame your weakness and give you help.

We Can Be So Much More.

   We Can Be So Much More:  Let us learn about the powerful identity God the Father gives us, through our being IN Christ Jesus by the power of The Holy Spirit. Let us embrace our God given Eternal Inheritance.  ( Ephesians 1:3-14)  Let us get up, each morning and give ourselves up to God. (Romans 12:1-2.)  Let us wake up! And practice Gods practice of putting off the deeds of darkness, of being empowered to behave decently, like people who live in the day time. (Romans 13:11-14) Let us cloth our selves, in Jesus, by putting on the full armor of God each day! This will make us strong in the Lord and in His mighty power, and it will give us all we need to stand against the Devil's schemes. (Ephesians 6:10-20) Let us submit to God, and resist the Devil so he will have to flee from us. (James 4:7) Learn all we can about the enemy and know he has no authority over us.
