Healthy Fear

The Fear of The Lord Is The Beginning of Knowledge,

but insane people despise

wisdom and instruction

     Where does knowledge begin?  It begins with a healthy fear of  The Almighty God. It is a reverence for One who is above all, in all and through all.  Jesus said He should be feared because He actually does have the power to cast the soul into hell... now that's frightening! The good news of this  for me is that, when I discovered this hell casting power, I decided to fear the Lord, turn from my sin(s), and turn my life over to Him, through His Son Jesus,  to save me.  AND He did! This fear of the Lord brought the beginning of knowledge in me, and this knowledge led me to God's Amazing Saving Grace!  

     However, we live in a time when people have become insane about who God is.  They see God so much as a God of love they cannot see that to experience that love we must revere Him, yes, fear Him.  There has now developed a belief that God loves each one of us so much that each can come to Him on our own terms, and not His terms.  There is a belief God loves and forgives, but authentic transformation is not viewed as necessary. With such a belief,  people remain trapped in sin literally; therefore, God's gift of making us new creations so that we can overcome sin,  is laughed at and ridiculed. Sin, for some has become their normal and their "civil right"  Any wisdom or instruction expressing God empowering and requiring holiness is despised, and the instruction in His word is rejected.

God has one word for people who do not genuinely fear Him in a healthy way.  He says they are

"INSANE."
