God's Deliverance and Your Self Perception

He Delivered us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the Kingdom of His beloved Son.
Paul: Colossians 1:13

One of the most challenging practices Christ-Followers face is that of practicing keeping andaccurate view of our identity in Christ.  All to often people walk in darkness rather than light because of a distorted view of themselves; for example, if we see our as  just sinners then we are focusing ourselves or identity in a spiritually dangerous way:

Let me try to  explain: We use to be sinners (See Romans 5:8), but now we are God's children. Once we WERE alienated from God, and even enemies in our own minds, but now we are holy, blameless and free from ALL accusation. (Colossians 1:21-23.)  All the epistles were not written to sinners.  They were written to those called to be saints or to saints. (Romans 1:7) As Saints, we are new creations!  The old is completely gone, and the new has come.  As Saints, we are reconciled to God and we are given the ministry of reconciliation. As Saints, we are Ambassadors of Christ through whom God makes His appeal to the world. As Saints, we benefit from the fact that God made Him who did not sin to become sin for us that in Him we might be transformed to the righteousness of Christ. (2 Corinthians 5:17-21.) As Saints, Paul says we are dead to sin and alive to Christ, and we can live as slaves to Christ rather than slaves to sin." (See Romans 6.)  AND we, as Saints, still struggle with sin, but we do not have to let it master us.  (Romans 7:7-8:2) God's holy people are delivered from the domain of darkness, as Paul says above.Yes, we may be Saints who falter and sometimes sin. But our identity, if we wish to walk in the holiness to which God calls us, are empowered by the Holy Spirit to be God's Adopted Children who are being formed into the image of Jesus. (Romans 8:28-29) As Saints, we are washed in Jesus blood and every single sin is once and for all forgiven for ALL eternity. (Hebrews 9:12.)  As Saints we are sanctified... we are holy. (Hebrews 10:10.)  As Saints we are even perfect in God's sight. (Hebrews 10:14)  As Saints, baptized with the Holy Spirit, we actually experience the Holy Spirit coming upon us in a powerful way to transform us. (Hebrews 10:15-17.) As Saints, we have access to the Holiest Place and have the privilege of having our guilty consciences sprinkled clean each day. (Hebrews 10:19-23.)  As Saint's, our sins are removed as far as the east is from the west. (Read the benefits package of God's people in Psalm 103, especially verse 12.)  By the way, it is important to note that we don't acquire this "sainthood" by any works of our own. (Ephesians 2:9), but because God makes us His holy people, we are His workmanship who are created in Christ Jesus to do good works which He prepared in advance for us to do. (Ephesians 2:10.) So, we also are actually empowered to do what God plans for us to do way ahead of our even thinking about what we might do.

Sinners, as Paul says above, are under the control of the domain of darkness. Sinners are slaves to sin and the consequences of sin. (See Romans 6:23.) Additionally, all the glorious benefits of being God's children spelled out above, do NOT belong to those who are sinners.   That is why that even while we were yet sinners -- use to be sinners -- "Christ died for us."

After the Emancipation Proclamation was proclaimed by Abraham Lincoln and Congress, very few slaves left their homes of slavery on the plantation or elsewhere.  Why?  They didn't leave because they did not embrace their new and true identity. I urge Christ-Followers to please be truly free in your walk with Jesus who is the Christ.  Invite the Holy Spirit to supernaturally take you over and baptize you with Christ faith, hope, and love. Embrace your true identity so that you will walk daily in the supernatural power of God that makes us free in Christ.

"It is for freedom that Christ has set you free.  Stand firm then and do NOT let yourselves be burdened by a yoke of slavery." (Paul: Galatians 5:1.) Embrace your identity in Christ.  Embrace the fact God has made you His Holy people... His saints.  Don't focus on the belief "we are all sinners." Or you risk being like the slaves of the 1860s. Focus the locus of your focus on who God says you are. Believe what God has given you so that you can be free and free indeed.  (John 8:36.)

Then you will be blessed 2day
Especially Today.
