Praying For The Terrorists: Our Enemy.

"FIGHTING"THE GLOBAL WAR ON TERROR!
Without Firing A Shot.

You have heard that it has been said that you shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.

But I say to you love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.

Jesus

          Did we just hear Jesus correctly?  Does He want us to love our enemies and even do so by praying for those who persecute us?  Is that what He just told us to do? REALLY?  Really.  How does He expect us to do this?  How can we pray for people like the terrorists, for example, who are destroying thousands upon thousands of lives just because their god told them to do so?   These are very good concerns, and I would like to share with you a biblical response.

         Perhaps you may wish to pray as follows:

Our Father in Heaven, we come to you in Jesus name to pray for the Islamic terrorists who are terrorizing the world. And as we do so, we request that they are convicted, by Your Holy Spirit, that they are sinning against the true and living God by what they are doing!  Convict them so strongly, we pray, that they will be granted repentance or a change of mind and/or a change of heart! Convince them of their sins and move in them so powerfully that they will bow their  knees down to Jesus and confess that Jesus is their Lord to the glory of You, God the Father!

Raise up in their midst a person or persons like the Apostle Paul who was formerly Saul, we pray! Raise up from among their numbers people who excel in Jihad who will reverse the course of their lives and be miraculously humbled before God by Jesus power! Bind up their demons that control them, we pray! Blind them to the darkness that is destroying life and give them new eyes with which they can see the Kingdom of God! And may they be born again! Give them Your supernatural grace to see the Light of God, experience the Light of God and share the Light of God with their darkened world! Raise up such people in their midst who will powerfully demonstrate the same intensity at saving souls and they did destroying the Church of Jesus who is the Christ.

So work in them and on them that You will set up Your residence within them or, as Jesus said, "in the midst of them." Yes, O Lord, may your Kingdom come and infuse their lives with Your eternal light and Your eternal life!

Then transform them, we pray, that they may become like Jesus so that Your will indeed will be done in each and everyone of their hearts and lives just like it is done in heaven. For You have told us, through the Apostle Peter, that You are not willing for any to perish, but You wish for everyone to have the opportunity to experience repentance; therefore, we ask you to fill them, dear Lord, with the knowledge of Your will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding.  I pray this so that they will stop killing and persecuting the people of God and others. May they -- as they repent -- begin to be empowered to live lives worthy of you and please you in every way every single day.  May they no longer be enslaved to do the works of the flesh. Set them free from the hatred they learned at their mother's feet. Deliver them from the madness placed in them in the madrasas or schools where the evil was formed in their hearts! And may they be set free to bear the fruit of the Spirit! Give them grace to grow in the knowledge of the true and living God!

Give them, today, the fulfilling of every need they may have that will provide them with grace to walk with You.

Forgive them of all their sins!  For they have no real idea what they have been doing! The Deceiver has completely blinded them! And provide them with merciful hearts to forgive anyone who has sinned against them. 

Prevent them from ever again being tempted to carry out these evil terroristic acts! Deliver them from the evil that drives them to terrorize!  Set them free from all evil that insanely moves them to harm others! Deliver them from the evil ONE! 

In closing this prayer, Lord, transform their hearts and minds as You truly reveal to them that truth has nothing to do with earning heaven by destroying lives! Please show them, O Lord, that real Truth has to do with yielding to Your Kingdom, living by Your power and for Your glory.

We pray this prayer of deliverance in Jesus' Holy Name!  Amen.

CHALLENGE

I challenge everyone reading this blog,  in whatever nation you  are living,  to agree with me in prayer as we pray for those who are practicing Jihad. Copy this prayer, and put it somewhere where you will be reminded to effectively and fervently pray for the terrorists.  Copy this prayer and send it to hundreds or even thousands of your Facebook friends.  Let's fight this Global War On Terror with the spiritual weaponry that God has given us to use and not fleshly weapons. Fleshly weapons are limited in spiritual warfare.   PLEASE let us cooperate with Jesus!  PLEASE make it a part of your spiritual practices to obey Jesus and PRAY FOR OUR ENEMIES, and PLEASE do so every single day!

Flesh and blood is NOT our enemy.  Read Ephesians 6:10-20 to see who is and how God would have us fight this winnable war by strictly using the weapons of spiritual warfare.
