The Word of God Challenge.
The Holy Bible is a life changing book: It is Divinely inspired. It is living powerful and sharper than a two edged sword that pierces to the dividing of our spirit, soul, joints and marrow. It is a book given to us to make us wise in God's ways of salvation. It is a profitable book given to us so that we will understand what God wants us to know and what God wants us to stop. The Creator uses it to correct us or correct our course of life. He uses it to keep us on track. And HE uses it to instruct us in right way living; furthermore, It's like a lamp for us giving us the light we need to follow Christ. The WORD lights up our path each day and everyday. If we abide with HIS WORD, we are less likely to stumble through each day. When we meditate on the WORD, Joshua 1:8 tells us that it has a prosperous impact on our very being. Jesus tells us if we let the seed of the WORD rest in the soil of our hearts that, once it dies like seeds do when left to the Creator, it comes to new life and produces hundreds of times the life it had as a seed! Fruit is born! Life is revitalized, revived and transformed! Finally, it is eternal. Heaven and Earth will pass away, but the WORD of God remains forever.
THREE CHALLENGES FOR 2016
Anyone who knows me knows that I am not big on making beginning of year or end of year resolutions. This is true because not one of us has this whole year guaranteed us; however, I firmly believe we can set an objective, and by God's grace, we can live out that objective each gift of a new day should HE grant the new day; therefore, I have a few challenges today, and should you accept this mission, each day has the potential for being a life filled day:
- First I Challenge You To Download The Daily Bread App. Or you may have Our Daily Bread Devotional Sent To Your Computer. This devotional is written in English, Spanish, Thai, Indonesian, Chinese, Japanese, French, German, Dutch and Portuguese. Plus you can google translate it into your language, if none of these I mentioned are your own.
- Second, read the Our Daily Bread devotional each day. My experience is that it is highly inspiring.
- Third, at the end of the devotional, you will see a challenge to read the Bible in one year. You will also see the 3 chapters you are guided to read. If you read the Bible at this rate, you should easily finish it by the end of the year, with God walking with you through it each day HE gives you. So the ultimate challenge is to be spiritually fit each day, by devotionally spending time with God, one day at a time, as you read in The Holy Bible 3 chapters per day.
I can imagine people thinking, "WOW that's a lot of reading!" It really is not. Simply turn off the TV, the cell phone/smart phone, music playing in your ears, your video games and or your busy schedule for a long enough time to be with your Creator. Find yourself a comfortable place and relax. Read the devotional. Read The Holy Bible and let the HOLY SPIRIT be your Teacher and guide. Find some fellow Christ-Followers to join you on this journey and allow God to really control your life. Get ten other people to read this blog and take the challenge.
If you take this challenges your will indeed be blessed each day, especially today.
