Intimacy Lost Intimacy Eternal Gained
Intimacy Lost Intimacy Eternal Gained
Intimacy is an interesting experience for human beings who need even crave very special relationship. In youthfulness it appears more physical that it really is, and the physical can change with the aging process even degrade. Intimacy can also be lost when a loved one transitions to the next life leaving a grieving person behind to re-identify themselves and seek to live on one day at a time. Even more tragically is intimacy lost when an spouse decides that "the grass is greener on the other side" and goes seeking it elsewhere leaving the other feeling abandoned, broken and alone. This too requires a daily identity change as the life journey continues on.
However, there is an identity that will never end and it is eternal. God offers it freely and with only the condition that you believe in Him and trust him to walk with you through each day. And according to Psalm 139, he expresses this love in 7 specific ways. Take time to sit quietly for a while with your favorite drink in a quite place. Read this Psalm and consider these 7 ways God expresses his love to you.
1. God Knows You, And He Keeps Safe: Psalm 139:1-6
2. God Knows Where You Are At All Times And Lovingly Watches Your Every Move: Psalm 139: 7-10
3. God Watches Over You In Your Brightest and or Darkest Times. You Are Never Alone: Psalm 139:11-12
4. God Created You, and He Creates You: Psalm 139:13-15
5. God Has A Purpose Filled Plan For Your Life: Psalm 139:16
6. God Thinks Of You All The Time: Psalm 139:17-18
7. God Will Accept Your Invitation For Guidance And Lead You Every Step Of Your Day: Psalm 139:23-24
Jesus the Son of God, who is one with God the Father and The Holy Spirit, has and does express His love for you in these ways and many more, even to the point of laying down His life for you. So take a refreshing mini-retreat and abide with this precious Psalm (even for a little while) where God expresses His eternal/unfailing love for you. Take time out to think about these eternal ways that God expresses His love for you each day until all eternity. Then be blessed today... especially Today.
