The Scientific Validity Of Virgin Birth.

And this will be a sign for you: A virgin (a sexually inactive/never active sexual woman),  will reproduce a child.
Over the years I have sat through more than one religion class whose basis is that of what they call "higher criticism."  This name seems to imply that their interpretation of the facts is higher or better than that which was taught for millennia, and one of the things that would invariably come up over the holidays is a statement that goes something like this:  "The Virgin birth of Mary is a biological impossibility."  Usually, I would allow this to be said and then challenge my professors ability to be an expert on matters of biology or zoology. Then I would set about to prove them completely wrong.  At least one of them apologized to the class for being inaccurate in his "Pontifications."
First the scientific term for Virgin birth is based on two words: Partho and genesis.  The actual term is parthenogenesis.  The definition of parthenogenesis is ... are you ready for this Partho= Virgin.  Genesis = birth.  Look it up, and you will see that I am correct.  There is indeed a scientific term for Virgin Birth.  The term is parthenogenesis.
Second, certain birds reproduce parthenogenetically every other generation and the "child" produced is male.
Third, a salamander called pseudobrancus striatus striatus reproduces parthenogenetically.
Fourth, there are other lower life forms such as Rotifers and thrifts that reproduce parthenogenetically.  These have been scientifically observed, regarding these matters, more than any other kind.
Finally.... drum roll... Dr. Pincus caused a rabbit to reproduce parthenogenetically in the 1930s.  Certainly the Creator of all that is could accomplish in a human being.  The list goes on and on.
Now I don't need a science book to validate my faith, but I do need it to repudiate people whose premise is that they are propagators of higher learning, when in actuality, regarding Virgin Birth, they are woefully ignorant. Go ahead... you can Google all of the above.
Just wanted to share the truth, that Mary being a Virgin, was indeed a miracle, but is also a scientific possibility.
Now Be Blessed 2day... Especially 2day.
