Just A Part Of The Journey

J U S T   A    PART   O F   T H E   J O U R N E Y:
  
Soon TLOML and I will have completed another 5 year section of this adventure we call life.  It has been a privilege, a time of weeping/struggling and a time of seeking first God's Kingdom and His righteousness. Now we are just days away from moving to the next turn in the road.
 
There are people whose lives have been dramatically changed:  Some were changed for the better.  They have constructed or re-constructed their faith in God.  They have begun to overcome the traumas and the pain.  Some are still stuck for various reasons, and others... well I will leave that alone... by their fruits they are surely known.  We too are dramatically changed.  This includes spiritual change, emotional change, relational change, financial change...physical change.  It's just a part of this sojourn.
 
Gonna miss some of these folks. Oh I cannot wait to be near in proximity to our children (this includes their spouses) and our grandchildren! We have missed so VERY much already. This part of following God's will kept us from those precious family members, especially those just discovering America.  At the same time, there are those here whom we have touched--and who  have touched the core of our being--in ways that I cannot express in words.  Our next door neighbors have really been a godsend.  Then again its just a part of the journey.
 
Physical changes have occurred: TLOML seems to have faired much better than have I.  My military injuries have taken their toll on me these last few years.  The battle with getting older is something that eventually will not get won (on this side of glory) by the stewards of the Temple of The Holy Spirit. I have an extensive workout program; however, the weakening of the human frame that takes place,  when the hair turns white with the frost of many winters, will continue until our Lord gives the new spiritual body that will never get weak or ever hurt again.  What a glorious day that will be!  It is...after all... a part of the journey.
 
Some have said, "It's about the journey not the destination."  I agree and disagree because it is both.  The journey is a great part of it all because the journey IS IN this life and then moves on to the next; however, the destination is pre-imminent. Hell is NOT an option for these human beings.  A Heavenly Home is THE destination for TLOML and me.   Jesus went and built it for us, and He paid the ultimate price to pay our price for our  heavenly home place. Yet,  He has walked with us every step of the way in this journey.  And He has provided us grace to be and do things we could not have ever imagined we could be or do. He gave me TLOML-- and me to TLOML -- years ago to walk together, and together we both testify this journey is like life:  Life IS An Adventure! AND the adventure is...after all... a part of the journey.

We Can Be So Much More.

   We Can Be So Much More:  Let us learn about the powerful identity God the Father gives us, through our being IN Christ Jesus by the power of The Holy Spirit. Let us embrace our God given Eternal Inheritance.  ( Ephesians 1:3-14)  Let us get up, each morning and give ourselves up to God. (Romans 12:1-2.)  Let us wake up! And practice Gods practice of putting off the deeds of darkness, of being empowered to behave decently, like people who live in the day time. (Romans 13:11-14) Let us cloth our selves, in Jesus, by putting on the full armor of God each day! This will make us strong in the Lord and in His mighty power, and it will give us all we need to stand against the Devil's schemes. (Ephesians 6:10-20) Let us submit to God, and resist the Devil so he will have to flee from us. (James 4:7) Learn all we can about the enemy and know he has no authority over us.   Jesus Rock Solid Teaching Regarding Picking Leaders Matthew 7:15-23      "Watch out for false prophets! They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves!  By their fruits you shall recognize them!  Do people pick grapes from thorn bushes or figs from thistles? Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, and every bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. Every tree that does NOT bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus by their fruit you will recognize them. Not everyone who says to me 'Lord, Lord' will enter the Kingdom of Heaven, but ONLY those who do the will of my Father in Heaven. Many will say to me on the day they give account of their lives, 'Lord, Lord' did we not prophesy in your name, and in you name drive out demons, and in your name perform many miracles?  Then I will tell them plainly, ' I never knew you!
