THE IMPACT OF RE-DEFINING THE FAMILY

     Okay, so here is what has happened: Since the early sixties, there has been a concerted effort to redefine our values. It still goes on to this day.  Yup! Since 1962 there has been an intentional move by folks calling themselves "progressives" to change our culture so that "everything is relative" and "there are no absolutes" kind of thinking.  This is especially true regarding  what constitutes marriage and the family.  This has resulted in some definite painful outcomes. You can check out the information below in red anywhere you would like, and your will find the data is right on target.  

     God set up a plan to provide healthy families and values. In these above mentioned changes virtually all these are being ignored (BTW: In the Bible, healthy and holy are interchangeable; what is healthy is predicated on what is declared holy and the opposite is also true.) Guess I need to quit saying families, in the paragraph/blog,  and say "traditional" families... gotta keep up with the times????

     Now let me be clear about one fact before I proceed.  This blog is not written to denigrate single family Moms... rarely Dads... because they (the Moms and rarely Dads)  are doing their best to make the best of a bad situation.

                          At any rate here is what is NOW happening:


     Did you know that more than 3 in 10 children grow up in broken homes... homes that do not have both a Man and Woman working together to be together for the good of the family... and children from broken homes account for:

--70% of those in juvenile detention.
--57% of all prison inmates.
--63% of teen suicides.
--71% of teen pregnancies.
--90% of homeless juveniles and runaways.
--71% of high school dropouts.
--75% of all drug users.
--85% of behavioral disorders.
    Seems to me there is a whole bunch of reasons for re-thinking the new definition of family and marriage.  The main reason... well... let's just say it has something to do with the well being of our children and grandchildren.

We Can Be So Much More.

   We Can Be So Much More:  Let us learn about the powerful identity God the Father gives us, through our being IN Christ Jesus by the power of The Holy Spirit. Let us embrace our God given Eternal Inheritance.  ( Ephesians 1:3-14)  Let us get up, each morning and give ourselves up to God. (Romans 12:1-2.)  Let us wake up! And practice Gods practice of putting off the deeds of darkness, of being empowered to behave decently, like people who live in the day time. (Romans 13:11-14) Let us cloth our selves, in Jesus, by putting on the full armor of God each day! This will make us strong in the Lord and in His mighty power, and it will give us all we need to stand against the Devil's schemes. (Ephesians 6:10-20) Let us submit to God, and resist the Devil so he will have to flee from us. (James 4:7) Learn all we can about the enemy and know he has no authority over us. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves!  By their fruits you shall recognize them!  Do people pick grapes from thorn bushes or figs from thistles? Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, and every bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. Every tree that does NOT bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus by their fruit you will recognize them.
