Understanding The Love Affair

Blessed is the one  who does not walk in step with the wicked
Or stand in the way that sinners take
Or sit in the company of mockers;

But whose delight is in the law of the Lord
and who meditates on His law day and night.

That person is like a tree planted by flowing streams.
Such a tree yields its fruit in season
and whose leaf does not wither—

God blesses this person with fruitfulness.
Psalm 1:1-3

What does it mean for a person to delight in God's law?  What does it mean to meditate day and night?  How does such a thing happen?  Isn't this ancient philosophy a bit far fetched? Isn't this kind of old fashioned in these generations of instant gratification, I-Pods, I-Pads, I-Phones, Droids, PCs and Mac's?  In the era of twitters and tweets face book, Google and lightening fast communication,  is such a belief system even feasible?

All of these are good questions; however, the admonitions and wisdom of The Creator, as revealed through the living Word of God, are the only means of understanding our Creator, the creation, our earthly journey and  how to prepare for death.  Only God's wisdom addresses such things fully and completely.

When we accept the fact that God incredibly is seeking to communicate with us individually and intimately through His Word-- The Holy Bible -- Divinely intersecting with Him daily through that Word becomes precious to us.  Meditating on what God says about Himself, studying His commands and memorizing His life changing promises... well... this becomes vitally sacred. His Word gets inside of us, and it takes root.  Then by His grace He transforms our hearts and lives through His Eternal Covenant, made possible by Jesus who is His Son and with Him ONE.

Verse 3 of Psalm 1 expresses clearly the results of this remarkable love affair with God: Spiritual and emotional vitality, accompanied  by an abundance of spiritual fruit from His Holy Spirit, (The Living Water) will enrich and bless our lives every single day of our lives.

Y'all Be Blessed 2day ... Especially 2day!
Remember "The Present" Is God's Gift Of Today.
