The Sarum Prayer

God be in my head,
and in my understanding;

God be in my eyes,
and in my looking;

God be in my mouth,
 and in my speaking;

God be in my heart,
 and in my thinking;

God be at my end,
and at my departing.

Have you ever heard this prayer before? Many people probably have. It is also called the "Sarum Prayer" because it comes from the Sarum Primer. The Sarum Primer is a collection of prayers and worship resources developed in Salisbury, England, during the 13th century. It was used throughout England, Scotland, Wales, and Ireland, as well as some parts of continental Europe, until the Reformation. It continues to be valued today because of its beautiful expressions of faith and devotion.

Why not make it a part of your prayer life today, and ...
Be Blessed 2-day and Every Day
