ADVENT: All You Need IS LOVE (Candle 2)

May be true that all we need is love, especially sense Holy Script says God is Love.  But getting a practical handle on Love so you can live love and demonstrate love is a quest that can be acquired by a healthy (as in holy) definition and practical expression of love.  In other words how do you spell love?  Good question. Anyone who knows me knows I do NOT spell it LOVE.  I spell it CARE.   And it has worked well as a guide.
Commitment
  You check out the scriptures:  John 3:16 and 1 Cor. 13:4-8a
  -Think about what God did here:  He gave 100%.
  -And there is NO way you can live the elements of love without it.
Acceptance
  Here is another Script:  Romans 5:8
  -God took us as we are because He chose to do so.
Respect
  -Anyone remember the words sung by Aretha?
  -Jesus demonstrated it by washing the feet of the disciples.
  -He respected them when they were at their worst.
Empathy
 Check out John 10:10b along with Hebrews 4:15-16
 -If you do you will see the "Wonderful Counselor" in action.
 -Empathy at its best.
Now when you are experiencing commitment, acceptance, respect and empathy, those "warm fuzzies" begin to be expereinced as well. All to often folks confuse these with Love.  When actually they are a symptom of being truly loved.
Remember the old cliche?  "People don't care how much you know until they know how much you care."
Go on out an Love on somebody today.... then...

We Can Be So Much More.

   We Can Be So Much More:  Let us learn about the powerful identity God the Father gives us, through our being IN Christ Jesus by the power of The Holy Spirit. Let us embrace our God given Eternal Inheritance.  ( Ephesians 1:3-14)  Let us get up, each morning and give ourselves up to God. (Romans 12:1-2.)  Let us wake up! And practice Gods practice of putting off the deeds of darkness, of being empowered to behave decently, like people who live in the day time. (Romans 13:11-14) Let us cloth our selves, in Jesus, by putting on the full armor of God each day! This will make us strong in the Lord and in His mighty power, and it will give us all we need to stand against the Devil's schemes. (Ephesians 6:10-20) Let us submit to God, and resist the Devil so he will have to flee from us. (James 4:7) Learn all we can about the enemy and know he has no authority over us.   Jesus Rock Solid Teaching Regarding Picking Leaders Matthew 7:15-23      "Watch out for false prophets! They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves!  By their fruits you shall recognize them!  Do people pick grapes from thorn bushes or figs from thistles? Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, and every bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. Every tree that does NOT bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus by their fruit you will recognize them. Not everyone who says to me 'Lord, Lord' will enter the Kingdom of Heaven, but ONLY those who do the will of my Father in Heaven.
